Corerupting my Mortgage
Comments

no i took it it off, the mortgage is only £500 but I have adjusted my standing order to overpay to get it down as soon as possible. The house is in a small village in rural wales so the market is quite limited. I bought as that was where i was working at the time.
I might look into selling it again now you mention it. I bought the land behind it which doubled the garden size, gave off road parking and removed the covenant of right of way through the garden (to the other houses) so it should be over the average for that areaI have dyslexia, so get used to my spelling and grammarMortgage pay off date 11/2028. pooh, we had to buy car insurance today. We are going to change vehicle from L200 warrior truck to a skoda fabia, its cheaper insurance, tax and mpg is much better, so it should save us money in the end (fingers crossed) just got to be careful not to let the saved money get absorbed into monthly costs.I have dyslexia, so get used to my spelling and grammarMortgage pay off date 11/2028. I wanted to pay off my mortgage and save £350,000 in time for my 40th, however i've just worked how much that is annually at its unachievable I think its just short of £60k a year, i'll defiantly have to look at selling my house again, i was keeping it as a safety net I think. if my OH and me ever break up, I will have to move as we live in his grans house, so I could move back into mine quite quickly. I don't think we will however we hardly ever even argue, it was just always in the back of mind that I had somewhere to go.I have dyslexia, so get used to my spelling and grammarMortgage pay off date 11/2028. done a few things today, moved Union payments to come out before tax should save a few pence i think, cancelled sky tv apparently you can now keep phone line and broadband with them still going to move i think as its £23.50 a month i'm sure i can get it cheaper only seem to have 301kbps speed anyway which is pathetic i think.
Cancelled my Which subscription (i forgot about it that another £13 a quarter. Also I logged onto santander last night (to check my ISA balance) and found that I have been charged £20 in unfunded fees for the last 3 months!! - The account rules had changed and you now need to pay in min £500 a month. I never heard of this so they very nicely refunded it all whilst is was on the phone, the woman was lovely. I've got to go to town on sat now and close the account before i get charged again!!!I have dyslexia, so get used to my spelling and grammarMortgage pay off date 11/2028. Target 12/2020 :rotfl:

Hi miss_corerupted and good look with your MF adventures. That's quite shocking about Santander. I have an ISA with them and am now worried about these charges.
Your dream house looks gorgeous btw, I would love a house like that.Mortgage free Jan 2012~ Savings £6,029/20,000

I logged on to my ISA and they had added my old bank account with A+L to the screen, that was where the charges had come from not the ISA so don't worry I didn't explain myself properly sorry. I got the charges back mind you.
I got home last night from work to find that OH has given up on the idea of getting a farm, and is planning to get the roof fixed here and maybe an extension. I'm not so sure, we rent from his mam but its not ours. I feel weary about spending more money doing this house up and not saving for ours.
I'm not really sure what to do. I just think (i don't really like to think about this) that when the worst happens and his mother passes (quite a long time off i hope). Everything will be split equally between the children which is fair, but I don't want to spend loads of money on house that will never be mine when I could save for 1 that will be. God that sounds callous I shouldn't even think these things, but I keep thinking practically. Not really sure what to do, I can feel the motivation draining from me as I type and I didn't sleep well going through options in my head etc. I thought it would last more than a month tbhI have dyslexia, so get used to my spelling and grammarMortgage pay off date 11/2028.
