i know!!! i'm so gutted and i keep dreaming about it and the house, we would have to live in a static whilst we did it up which i could live with.

it has focused us completly now, instead of just carrying on just spending and living our live we now have a goal

Wow! What a dream. I admire you for dreaming it... I'm one for an easy city life! Definitely not what you would be getting if you bought that place, but it is stunning.

Good luck, I'll be interested to hear how you get on.

On another note, I struggle to identify Elderflower... the flowers look like too many other plants. I'm not that great at identifying plants because I didn't grow up in this country.

it's not that hard I've only been looking for it for the last 2 years, the smell is a give away, it smells a bit like cat's wee, the branches are very knobbly, and give you snap one off you can poke the middle pith out which is spongey, i'll take a photo of ours now i've learnt to do photos :)

Thanks! That would be great. I must remember to ask someone to point some out to me next time I help with the local conservation group... between the photos and having someone identify it for me, I'll definitely learn how to identify it correctly.

this is the main bulidng, it has paneling, a basement, pantry, all sash windows still have wooden shitters,

Loops, you meant shutters right? Otherwise you'll get splinters in your bum!:rotfl::rotfl:

Buying quality goods which last, should be an investment that saves money. :T
Buying cheap products which fail, wastes money and costs twice as much in the long run.
