Travelodge £10 sale starts thurs 9th june 2011

Hijacking the thread a bit for some advice!
I have a £10 sale room in London but then needed the Sat night as well as Sun at the same hotel so booked a different travelodge £61 total for a Sat and Sun - in a previous sale. That was the cheapest room I could find on a Sat in August.
I thought I could cancel my £10 Sun booking at the other travelodge but do have a friend who needs a room with her 2 girls (both under 15) This is a trusted person as I'd never risk selling or giving a room onto people I don't know well.
Do you think she will be ok as booking is in my name for 1 but is a family room. I can give her a copy of my booking - just thinking they will need to book 3 in for the health and safety side in case of a fire/drill?
Don't want to cause reception hassle and equally my friend - but seems a shame to cancel a room when someone could use it.
Thanks
No problem at all. Most London TLs are self-checking via machine anyway - just enter confirmation number and last name and key is delivered from machine.
If reception merely quote the number and they ask for name and address for confirmation. that's it.
I assume that you have booked a family room - 3 people into a room for 2 is likely to be a problem if they realize."If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken

A quick search finds the following meaning

1.
an awkward, clumsy, or eccentric person.
My apologies if you thought I used the term in a derogatory way to others.
Mind you, I advise you not to use it around older people (say 50+) as they may well take offence.
I have a friend who was once called a "spazz" (he had limited use of an arm due to polio as a child), didnt stop him pinning the guy to the floor and gipping him warmly by the windpipe with his non "spazz" arm.0 -
Thanks for that, in which case I agree, you are a spazz.

Thank you blobby and shadow for your input.
Can we now consider the discussion of word meanings closed and continue with discussion of Travelodges?

Yes.....I'm almost there with booking my flexible rooms - anyone think i might get lucky though and either saver rooms become free nearer the time - .....although it's only about a week away now before i go...... and/or ALL the rooms become available. I'm just wondering because people book flexibly so they can cancel at the last min - i want them to cancel so i can have a whole week! LOL! I also want them to turn the rooms into saver ones! (want want want! lol)
thinking of doing the easy hotel still but it's so .....orange.0 -

really? more xpensive when you click thru for details? it was £19 or £25 when i looked earlier on today! quite a difference to £10 which sounds more appealing!0 -
Brillo, 2 rooms booked at £15 each end of July, a perfect birthday treat for one of our teens. thanks OP.I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.
Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.0 -
Ok, I went through the whole procedure of making a booking, clicked on complete, it asked me to wait.....
and i waiting....
and waiting.....
and meanwhile the screen has cleared suggesting i need to enter all the details again. I don't want to. I know the funds are in there to make the booking, but double the amount isn't, so not sure if it will try to take it twice.....:(
in the manage my bookings section it tells me i have a booking in my basket, that's all....anyon e know how this works? how do i know for sure that it's NOT been paid already and just not showing up?0
