John having gone through your post early today and researching the whois register it was mighty suspicious that almost all the links you posted over many months all are owned by same person.
It is slightly plausible that you found them all from one site and repeated them here, however that raises question that perhaps that was foolhardy to so so, and that someone eventually will pick up on it.
I only found as I do check from time to time not every post, and that site you posted raised alarm bells for me, hence why I did some digging
As for trouble causer well I was only looking out for best interests of the site, its rules and its posters, as you were with this post.
MSE abuse seem to agree as they blocked many of those sites I mentioned in the web filter0 -

Once again - you look mighty suspicious john. First Poppycat asks you a serious question and you respond by name calling. Once that is quite reasonably picked up you once again react badly - i am particularly offended by the underhand way you now claim "bullying."
Nonsense.
Why don't we just report you as being a long-term and cleverer than the average spammer to Abuse and see what they think?0 -
Just a quick repeat of the post I've put in the Spamming poll thread:Edna_Bucket wrote: »Sometimes (but only momemtarily!) I feel really sorry for these saddos. They seem to fall into two camps, and you have to wonder what sort of life someone has if:
a) Their "job" is to spend all day going round every single forum they can find to register new IDs and plant the same 5 or 6 US spam links (including the obnoxious use of a breast cancer one.) or alternatively the Hooper and copycat referral/pyramid sites.
b) The only thing they can do on a Friday or Saturday evening after drinking heavily (or other substance abuse) is to sit alone in front of a PC and try to spoil things for others by posting garbage, abuse, spam, resurrecting years old threads to mess up the Boards (the person who was "gaydave"/"eileen19"/"rachel-shake" and probably Kings of orient and many others)
When you think that this small number of people are also probably very young too, it's quite sad, and they do quite seriously need help.
That's not to say we shouldn't jump on them hard as soon as they are spotted of course!!
Thanks to all who do that, and to the BGs abnd Abuse team. I'm off to the US now for the rest of August, so good luck to you all with the disruptors while I'm away!!0 -
Edna I hope when you go to States you come across intelligent US people, because my only impression of them is they are either 1. Can't be bothered on net so never come across some US with any brains 2. The net is full of braindead US0

Several of the threads centre on the activiities of "sweetcollect" run by Carl Knight (formerly known as Carl Buckingham) and the websites of Richard Hooper.
Those threads will hopefully soon be deleted, but it might be useful to add to this ongoing resource thread. We've covered Hooper before, but here are a few items for reference on Knight/Buckingham (who also runs pinkcashback) - some are from MSE:
http://sweetcollect.blogspot.com/
(do read the "comments" as well)

http://reviewwritersforum.editboard.com/REVIEW-SITE-TALK-c1/CIAO-f2/Remember-the-whole-Sweet-Colllect-episode-t1391.htm
An interesting coincidence here. The last time we commented on the activities of Carl Knight (formerly Carl Buckingham) and the dubious "sweetcollect" websites, this was promptly followed by some attempts at site disruption by people (or one person) registering several usernames here as close variations to existing users and then trying to post all sorts of garbage.
Funnily enough, today poster Noswor makes a comment on sweetcollect
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=544980
and lo and behold we get the same pattern - a desperately sad individual registering variation names such as "alan close" as opposed to our real poster alanclose, and of course "ednabucket"The culprit then makes various offensive and disruptive posts, etc, etc.
Interesting coicidence that, isn't it? I wonder if the fan(s) of Mr Knight follows a similar repeating tactic elsewhere?0 -
Yes I noticed that too, lol. Some people are so pathetic and unoriginal, we have seen it all before, sigh, and they still keep trying0
