I have read up the few stories on here when things have gone wrong, but has anybody got this right and got the cashback out of them?

I am considering a deal and have read the terms and conditions inside out and would adhere to there rules, so I won't have a problem... right?

As I say I am asking if anybody can confirm it does work if you follow the rules?

If it does work I will be getting down to £6.80 a month which will be great.

Many people can confirm that it works, but nobody can guarantee you that it will work even if you follow the rules.

You'll find all the information you need in this recent thread:

mobiles.co.uk cashback scam -- small claims? trading standards? watchdog?

Pay more attention to the facts rather than to the title.

    Also this one: mobiles.co.uk cashback.

Then make up your own mind.

    Hi Percy,
I think the term "the few stories" is a bit of an understatement as theres loads of them ......that said theres a lot of people who manage it with no problems but they are the lucky ones.

If the slightest thing goes wrong it turns into a nightmare to sort out and you have to be prepared to take them to court.

They are a stackem high company so if you want a cheap phone thats what you get but the price you pay is complete lack of customer services and making contact is very hard.

Most of the time it does work however theres quite a few who have followed the rules to the letter and it's gone pear shaped.

If saving a couple of quid is a high priority and you think you know what your doing then you might want to risk it.

As most regulars on this section know as far as I'm concerned theres a saying about wee and fire with this bunch :rotfl:

Dare I say each post I have found where it has gone wrong has been down to mistakes partly on the claiments part.

Is there any cases where somebody has sent the bills on time via record delivery and its gone wrong?

To be honest, they have been good to myself. Only one very small issue (last claim) when they at first stated all parts of the bill weren't sent and they only received the 1st page.
Quickly sorted once I pointed out that not only both required parts were sent, but they were in fact stapled together. lol
An apology from them was quickly accepted.

It will/should only go wrong if you allow it to. If it does go wrong, then escalate it quickly without wasting time.

It's all quite simple now, just send the correct monthly bill at the correct time. You can send via online, but I always go via the "Signed For", recorded route. Suits me and for a small extra expense it works - hence why sticking to it.

Good luck if you decide, I'll be doing the same very shortly again also.

Whatever the positives and negatives right now, things change over the length of a contract. As I regard all my own contracts primarily as an investment I like the analogy; past performance is not a guide to future performance. Follow the groundrules or increase the risks - and never rely on payments being made merely because YOU do everything right. USUALLY that's fine - but then...!!

I guess the less cashback in the deal the safer I am.

Seen £15 with 24 month contract with 10 months free and £20 with 24 month contract with 16 months free.

I am currently paying £10 a month and both come under that so would it be advisable to go with the lessor deal but less risk if it the cashback doesn't happen?

Only in the sense that if the merchant went bust or you messed up a claim. Obviously less to lose.

Each claim has the same risk in terms of being honoured - do as requested and all "should" be fine.

I've done £40 per month deals with the sister company, e2save - all free deals and all paid.

Take the deal you want is what I would suggest, unless finance is an issue if if should fail.

    Hi GD,
    Me Mellowing

They're still the company from Hell as far as I'm concerned and wouldn't touch them with a barge pole but I fully understand that some people are forced to use them because of funds available these days or some of those that relish the challenge maybe.

Too much hassle for me ;)

If I was given the choice of buying a phone off them or doing without ....I'd sooner do without :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
