As was Geek Squad and Fresh Telecom
Ah, yes, I was going to mention the Geek Squad in my previous message, but forgot.
When I last bought a contract through mobiles.co.uk (November 2010) Geek Squad and mobile insurance was mandatory. Fortunately the first month is free and it was fairly easy to cancel them. Bet a lot of people don't though.0

It's all quite simple now, just send the correct monthly bill at the correct time. You can send via online, but I always go via the "Signed For", recorded route. Suits me and for a small extra expense it works - hence why sticking to it.
 OK, confession time.
1st time ever, but last week (Friday) I sent off my claim via their online service and today (Monday) it's been approved and paid.
Only did it this way as I tend to send on a Monday (RM issues) and obviously I had time to post if the online method failed (various reasons).
Still up to 28 days, but fully expect cheque well within 14 days on recent experiences.

You should get an email in following days (within 14 days) with an insurance policy number. Make sure you get it soon as you need to cancel that within 14 days.
When you do have it - then you can cancel the insurance through the carphone warehouse web site - there is a page on there that lets you enter your policy number and cancel it.0

Hi, just cancel the direct debits as soon they appear, don't leave it until the end of the first month. I have done this at least 20 times and never had any comebacks.0
