  • I think the Benefits and Work forum and advice gives excellent value for money at £20. £20 for all that you can access on there. If that isn't value for money I dont know what is. Some people are just moaners or tight.
  • I've been with b&w for several years now, I personally think the work they do for the sick and disabled is fantastic. I use their guides whenever I have to and I have helped other people with them as well.

If paying out a small amount yearly will help me to stay sane by being able to access some excellent guides and knowing that b&w are fighting our corner, well I consider it one of the best purchases of my life.

Also I pay £9.50 yearly, I've been with them about six years, money well spent.

If you don't agree with them DON'T JOIN !! Move on, there's nothing to see...............................................

I don't know of any other sites - are they secret ? And I don't know what other country. I wish I did. Is hard to fight what you can't see and don't know about :(
And because people are so quick to start squabbling and bickering is the reason the govt have & will get away with it!!
Instead of turning on each other and nitpicking about tiny things - why not stand back and look at the big thing that's rolling towards us all, and fight it instead?
But somebody will be right back in asap with a smart answer to me instead. ...

As it happens, I've just set up a website............£££££££

Be firm with yourself, don't ever respond if they are aggressive or on a wind up. They'll be wasting their own time going back for days to see if you've taken the bait....

If you've got Firefox, use Bing together with Apture, highlight the word or phrase and you'll be immersed in knowledge. Wikipedia's useful for that kind of knowledge.

    A lot of Northern Councils have very helpful benefits web pages. Newcastle Council is good.Further south Reading. Disability Alliance, the CAB. Ipswich Unemployed takes pride in its services;

use Bing and Apture to find out about outsourcing. Bing and apture will mean you will always be able to find information.

Use scrapbook or speed-dial to save websites you like.

Wordpress has good blogs, have a look, find one you like and that will have a list of blogs its owner likes and so on.

Learn how to do research, its a good skill and yet again you can find google tutorials, enough already.....

I don't understand how people could wish to profit from those struggling to claim benefits.

    ;)

If ATOS and G4S are profiting, then why not B&W?

That might be the "Hidden Agenda"; ta da "Fairy Dennimother"

If G4S are a provider, then thats a conflict of interest surely if they are also getting involved in medical testing, which it appears they are.

ATOS tried to bid to be a provider, and there was a clear conflict of interest, and they did not get the contract, yet it appears g4s have snuck through perhaps because at the time of the consultation no one knew g4s would be doing medicals.

Disgraceful that g4s would be involved in both aspects, obviously a company with no ethics.

I note as well, that 'depending on cirumstances' some people in the support group of ESA will have mandatory attendance place on them for workfare.

Thats people in the SUPPORT group.....

And ALL people moved from IB to JSA will also have mandatory attendance imposed on them.

I also note that payment wise, the goverment is making out people moved from IB etc will get the most help, as providers are paid MORE for them.

Which is utter b*llcrap, as the 1000 pound incentive payment does NOT apply to

    Ex-IB people
ESA volunteers for workgroup (and worse for those the weekly substainment payment to the provider is under HALF of normal.
Ex-IB people in support group or likely to be fit in 3 months get more substainence paymetns to provider, but dont get incentive payment.

All in, they are not really doing what they promise on the tin re paying the firms a lot more for the sick people.

Interestingly, if a customer complains, to the right people, and its upheld, the provider will be fined 5 grand.

So, if you have a problem complain with as much evidence as possible, and get them fined.
4.14 Where complaints cannot be resolved, a customer can complain direct to the Independent Case Examiner (ICE). ICE will mediate between the Prime Provider and customer to attempt to broker a resolution. If a resolution cannot be agreed between either party, ICE will undertake a full investigation of the complaint. If the complaint is upheld at this stage, in part or in full, then the Provider will be charged a fee of £5,000.

I took out membership with b&w AFTER my wife was awarded dla (higher mobility)and care (lower) I had looked at their site before filling in forms and found some useful advice but have to say if I had known some of the information available to members I would have joined much sooner.I do not find any evidence of scare tactics from them but rather good knowledge of the ways you can fail dla medicals just by using the wrong language when answering questions. Now to be fair the lady doctor who came out to see my wife was very polite and although she told my wife she would need to see her climbing stairs when it came to it she let my wife go up 2 stairs before saying thats fine. She also advised her to keep a note of any and every appointment with her own and other doctors and hospital appointments as she said although my wife may get dla (she did) they can ask her to have a medical at any time and if so it will help her to be able to tell them if and how her condition is getting worse.I find that b&w keeps me up to date with any new laws coming out and how they may/will affect us.I know I could find some of the information elsewhere but to have it all on one site is more reassuring.
counting down the time I got left.:beer:
  • All information used on the profit making B&W site( and more) is easily and quickly available using Google.
    It isnt rocket science.

Also I hope if G4 are involved in anything, I hope they pay more attention to it than they do transporting crims to court.
