If the fraudster has gone into a Lloyds branch with the redirected statements as their ID they could have done a cash withdrawal over the counter (probably saying that the card is lost and they don't own a drivers licence or any other ID). Ask for the security camera footage if this is the case. Then go to the police station with it and lodge formal charges against Lloyds and the fraudster.
And what charges would those be, precisely?

If there has been fraud on the account, lloyds will refund it very quickly.

The OP just needs to do advise mother to do this instead of wasting time on a forum :)
  • Good points Clonnen however despite being asked repeatedly about the ' stolen ' money the OP has not responded.

    1. When the first statement did not turn up:
    (a) why did she not ring up the bank to complain.

    (b) How come she did not run out of funds if nearlly £1000 was stolen from the account? Is she very rich then?

Maybe she is rich? maybe she isn't? maybe she works?

none of your business.... as for your questions i already answered that... look for it ya self.

    UPDATE:

The bank is sorting it now. Apparently it was a huge c0ck up on the phone system to allow such a change she doesn't plan to sue because she is now getting the money back form TSB as compensation.

and the person who did the name change on the phone is now in a lot of trouble. (probs suspended form TSB? (Don't know)

so all i say if you bank with TSB just be carefull.

And FYI I am not a man so please don't try to patronise me with your slang!!

You have spun a yarn and made excuse after excuse regarding questions people have asked you.

Please don't bother to insult my intelligence any further because I am done here!
