I've (and others!) already panicked about this (see link) over a week ago!!!!
It has to be kept (pleeeeeease!!)- maybe a birthday/other holidays brought in too ??
January Sales have to be the best times to save money for the next Christmas, so imagine what it'd do to the board users if we had nowhere to post about our mega bargains, our boxes of 300 christmas cards for 12.53546 pence and 12 rolls of xmas wrapping paper for 8.4766pence....what would it do to Christmas 2007?! There would be a board full of people homeless for a start!!!
(Just incase it wasn't clear I vote to keep the board!!)
:ABeing Thrifty Gifty again this year:A

I would love for the christmas one to say. I have been so inspired by some of the baskets that people have done. Hopefully people could post up when they see special offers - i.e. 3 for 2s etc that can be put in the baskets. I have already decided to do that for next christmas but hope to buy throughout the year.0

Another vote to keep it please. There's such great advice and atmosphere on here it would be a pity to lose it.
I too would be interested if you added gardening board for spring, perhaps as a sub board of os.0 -
It is never over - ever.We all evolve - get on with it0

i started buying all my christmas 2006 stuff in january 2006 - you can never start too early in my opinion!
plus, it could be expoanded to all teh celebrations throughout teh year coudnt it? i love reading all teh different ways other people celebrate christmas, so why not all teh other stuff we celebrate throughout teh year?
this site is great, it lists all celebrations and holidays by country, religion etc:

Keep the Christmas board!!!!!
It has been valuable to us all in inspiration, hunting down the bargains that others recommend, and generally keeping all our spirits high as we prepare for the most expensive time of the year. Keeping the board going will hopefully encourage others to spread the cost of Christmas next year and reduce the possibility of finding themselves in a predicament come November and December.
I agree to adding other celebrations into it aswell, possibly sub-boards within the Main one to help us out a bit???
Thanks Martin and everyone for all your help!"Life may not always be the party you wish for, but whilst here you may aswell dance"!!!

I so agree with iwanttosave about a general festivities/holidays board - I mean there'll be Easter next, and I'm bound to want someone to help me with a simnel cake, and all those stories about hiding eggs in the garden and painted eggs (with pictures) will be nice and springlike. Could you archive Xmas and start a new 'celebrations/holidays/nice days' board ?0
