just dashing through - we'cve got a feww city-wide music festival here this weekend, lots of mates playing, lots of sitting round in sunshine, friend just texted to say she's heading to the park with a 'slightly random, badly thought out picnic' so I'm about to do the samexxx
Yay to badly thought out picnics good for you, have fun!
I'm cleaning, looking at the bleurgh weather and finding things like the cd's with the whole of my work from 2000-2005 and photos :j
Did a peedie blog (rambly as always) and nice to put one of my favourite (old) photos of the cellist into it

That kind of distraction sounds like the essential kind of distraction that goes with cleaning pippi0

:hello: Can you see me over the fence? I'm back :j:j:j and oh my word, I missed you all! Sorry its so freezing for you, Pippi, it was very wet in Norfolk, but here in sunny Sussex my creeping mint died of lack of water _pale_ and it was in a saucer and everything!
I've taken note of loads of recipes on new tabs on here - firefox has kind of exploded because of all that :rotfl: and I've come back with renewed determination to eat *loads* of stuff from my garden
Oh dear to crispy mint! Lovley to see you back again!I've missed you
There are alot of great recipes here aren't thereglad you've had fun, sorry it was so wet!
Tonights dinner was sushi rice, pan fried cougettes and chilli - yum!
No one here likes courgettes, I love them, I've vowed to stop sulking and eat things I like whilst the house is empty!
Cheery cleaning indeed something that needs distracted from, the living room is only 1/4 clean - whoops!Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

How is everyone today? Anyone ever heard of flat peaches and nectarines? Bought some yesterday at new market near my grandparents. 8 for £1.20, might start going there as they had a good range of stuff and their prices aren't too bad (huge punnet of grapes for 99p).
Tried for some extra work this weekend but nothing doing. Instead went for 4 miles walk around the lake in the park near us with OH, nice just chilling away from the 'problems' we get dragged into. Told OH no more and time we look after ourselves.
Tomatoes doing nicely, had home grown garlic in HM burgers for tea... yum.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. I often get flat peaches from the farmers market. They aren't as juicy as normal peaches, quite a white flesh generally. They seem to keep better. I don't like the fuzzy skin on peaches, but they seem OK. Never had flat nectarines though.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Ooh I am envious of your continuing elderflower crop!
(not of the weather though, brr!) Do however have lots of lovely raspberry and strawberry jam on the go now, and raspberry vodka, and a new batch of ginger beer made with molasses sugar which smells AMAZING!

thanks for the cordial recipe Pippi and Red
Hope you have a nice sneaky weekend away with OH Pippi. Have been catching up on your blog. Lovely pictures.
DH and I have been out in the garden today having a good sort out. We pulled up the onions. we had loads. We were really pleased as it's the first time we've tried them. Just one question though. 2 of them didn't grow very well and have a type of bulb at the top of the plant which is full of seeds (is this what the book means by "bolted"?) can we use these seeds for next year?? What do we do with them??Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
Red the weather is pants but good for flowering I guess, yum to ginger beer......you'll have to tell us how that goes.
You're exactly right starnac, bolting, is a posh way of saying flowering or going to seed. The seeds might do fine depends what type you bought, give it a go or u them in salads and they are great in bread etc yummy!
