Hey nice idea kc but I barely earn enough to get to the level of tax credits I claim so I'll have to declare every penny.

It will pay the ferry and the petrol down to Scotland :) one half of that part of the trip paid trip paid :)

    Must book the boat!

Ok looked at boat will use pentland ferries this time cheaper if we all travel this way when fares go up with the time of year lol will be £68 with brother too - (£55 for us only) will check that Mum can pay his fare I don't mind but I can't really afford to pay him too.

Advantage of this route is that I don't do a double trip to pick him (bro) up in the morning - its on the way to the ferry
This route takes me passed petrol at Mr T in Wick - which will be CC points
Food on ferry is cheaper but I will pack a snack box for car and make sure we don't buy food/drinks enroute - they have thier own money, if they need to buy food they can buy their own

Miles to first free bed = 255.6 miles
Petrol price in Wick - ?
    Roughly 8-10 mp/l = 25-30 l petrol

Fuel at my local Mr T has dropped by 2p/litre since Saturday, if it has done that nationwide it way save you a wee bit on your holibobs.

I did notice diesel was 136p (ish) at Mr T the other day! (stupidly drove straight past thinking 'oh, look at that!' then went somewhere else where it was 141p :rotfl: :rotfl:)

Hooray for cleaning! :j Well done! :j
