Pippi especially........... you have to go check her out http://ecofootprintsa.blogspot.com/ I think you will like her blog I have only read the first page and the first post and couldnt help but think that she would fit nicely with all of your eco vibes on here. Sorry if she is already on one of your blogs (I dont have many followers and have no idea where they find me from)

Hello. I always read WTFC as What the F*** sorry but I read it like that in my head - think it fits with what people must say every time they have to deal with them. Sorry but I am going to suggest a complaint again! If you are earning less then surely the payment should at the least stay the same or go up?

I read it like that too!

And I've bookmarked that blog ...

  • Morning all

Re the !!!!!! office - I'm going to call them later and find out whats going on. Cheery I'd thought of 'slurry' far more messy :) and I do know a few farmers :)

MrsM - yay hello and welcome - will look at the blog in a bit - thank you - I so need ot catch up on my blog reading - I've no idea where folk end up from - or get to any of ours from either.

Red thank you for the recipe and I'd mutated a carrot cake one, but it was so heavy, mind you the flour was the oldest lumpiest I'd ever seen from the back of the cupboard - me thinks that was an issue - thank you for the link - I might also try a muffin recipe - lighter? I gave them to my veg class last night - with a mix of brownies on the plate too and no one complained or died again.

KC - thanks lovely - and LT I hope work begins to sort itself out, you're really going through the mill aren't you. Giving vibes to you of a calm and angelly nature.

Off to do banks etc - brother away on boat - last veggie class taught for this year - we regroup again next spring for the next 6

    If I'm missing anything/anyone I'm sorry - sleepy here - late boat

Wonder how GV's dog is? And starnac, and I hope Trog is grand too. And anyone out there lurking away - good morning!

  • MONEY RANT

OK more money in the bank from !!!!!! agency (!!!!!!??????????!!!!!!!) - today - despite a letter telling me I'll get a payment on the 7th then weekly from now on - have we gone to 3 day weeks? I'm assuming this is the new rate? But given the fact its on the wrong day and for a different amount, I've really no idea what on earths going on. There are so many folk out there who depend on this stuff - in real life, what a country we live in. Is it any wonder folk don't like to talk to them about any changes?????

On the plus side, we've got a payment, on the negative side I dunno when the next one will land, 7 days from the 7th (like the letter says?) or 7 days from today - I guess I play it canny with pads until I know what on earth they are doing. A call today is needed for sure.

DD's out on the 15th (£113 electric + insurance) - I'll leave the moving to pads until after the dd's.

I hate not knowing what on earths going on with my bank. I've £303 left in my OD at the mo - £113 dd's to come out - I'll leave that account alone until I know when the next WTFC payment might land, for which I guess I'll need my crystal ball. And a dart board, and my grannies birthday handy.

£48 left in lloyds account - nothing out of there until the 20th
£7 on lloyds cc left - but I'm sure that will be OK until I get more money in - I'm not using it but need check when they add interest etc - need check that

Capitan cc - is ok and a bit left there (£100) but the monthly payment just gone through for that - which will leave that nearer £200 left.

OK still squeaky - but I'm maybe getting evening teaching work paid I've done to date (6hrs) on the 15th (not much but a bit - think £60?) and I've 3 more hours to bill for if I get that in today I might get that this month too.

Two more dvds sold on amazon - to post today - more plants to list on the dreaded 'e' bay - sorry sfrd!

And, I start work on the 16th - which is ace.

New tax credit award mean we qualify now for free meals at school - I'll do that form today they keep it on the net and I'll take in the documents into the office - its by my old work, which I need to go to today to do that presentation - must fill in the other forms too for council tax/hb maybe - my income this year will be under £6k (all mostly patchworky - yay).

While I'm in I'll find out about invigilating over dec - if they've the timetable done yet - that should work in OK with the new job - as there aren't exams on the saturdays and the rest of my week is flexi with that job. Which might mean Dec might be a quite full (paid) month.

OK money done, time for a plan for today.

  • Morning!

Very sweet of you to think of me Pips, when you have so much going on! Have been a bit busy here, had lots of work to catch up on and was pretty exhausted. Getting better now though. Had a more relaxed day yesterday and in the evening a friend came round and I dug up all the last beetroot from the garden (thought I'd better do it in case this 'Siberian' weather they have been predicting arrives and things are frozen in the ground!) and we had beetroot, caremelised onion and feta cheese tart (OH's idea based on something he had at a resturant) followed by chocolate pear loaf (HG pears) and it was all yummy. Need to get back out in the garden if I can though as have garlic to plant and no space prepared for it.

Hope the money situation stabilises soon, it's crazy being so much at the mercy of the !!!!!! people and their left hand doesn't seem to know what their right hand is doing.

Hope you and everyone else have a good day, I'd better get on with some work and see if I can get outside later!

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:oh this is sooo true Mrs Moo

Pippi you art the queen of lists. I am shamed:o

"Two more dvds sold on amazon - to post today - more plants to list on the dreaded 'e' bay - sorry sfrd!"

Don't be sorry on my count, it is not your fault I have neglected to get my act together

Your mention of what folk are doing at Christmas has made me think. Will have to ask Mum and Dad if they are coming here. Weather was so carpy last year they didn't make it until February, but we just had 2 Christmas'. DD is living with BF now and I am determined I am not going to be the one putting pressure on by the where are you going for Christmas thing; not that I wouldn't love her to be here. It wouldn't be the first one where she was else place as she didn't come with us to Turkey a couple of years back and we didn't make a big deal out of that.

Trog - We are going to dig the last of our beetroot up on Monday.

What to do about the Parsnips - they will need digging up too. Left them a bit late the other year and it was an almost impossible situation

Well my coffee is finished. So I will have to get on:p

Just got to read through dd's personal statement for uni. It is somewhat long and needs shortening without removing any relevant content. pfft. Wish me luck.

My finances are work in progress.
    Normal veiwing will resume shortly
