Hey up fellow circus inhabitants.
Sfrd, good for you. I hope your friend gets home soon, ace work at brownies too.
Talking of brownies, the baked kind, not the peedie kid kind, I baked cheap brownies which whilst cheap are awesome (I'm chuffed to say someone on the blog tried, came back and told me she was dubious before she made then due to the frugality of them, but told me today they were lush!)
............on the opposite end of good baking I baked neep cakes (an experiment), not quite sure it's worked, hot they taste nice (think carrot cake) but smell distinctly of neeps while hot. Will revisit them when cold.
Kc I hope you don't run away and join any other circus folk. Stay here, waves to all hey up cheery
The blog webpage thing is a bit daunting, but my web lady is keen to use blog base as initial/continued traffic to the site, which seems very clever.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Rodders and I swept leaves up yesterday. He thought it was great fun, especially bagging them up :rotfl:
Since the fireworks started he seemed to have gone off the garden so I wanted to get him back out there and happy, it seems to have worked :j as he has been in and out of there all morning.
He is now curled up on my knee asleep
You seem as active as ever Pippi :T Any squeaky money looks to be going OK :j Loving the sound of a break for NY :j
I am assuming Mr F's shoulder is on the mend if he can contemplate skiing?:j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j0 -
Hmmmmm never thought of neep cake - have tried beetroot, parsnip and of course carrot. Ooh and squash, that works quite well.
Love the sound of the webby blog plans :T

Maty glad rodders is OK, well done for getting your hair dry!!!! Its really like having a baby about isn't it?
Red - any recipes for parsnip cake?
Grr - well letter from WTFC - it would appear my payment is now lower by £13 a week - (dunno why it arrived early, but hte 'extra payment' was just an early payment) - all I've told them is that I'm going to earn £4000 less this year than I thought, she told me my payments shouldn't change as your WTFC is calculated on your previous years earnings. But, its still gone down. Bah to them, I've no idea how they make it up - dart board?

I'm okay - bit bleurgh, as you say, but nothing a strong cuppa tea won't put right. Tho I give notice, if anything else nit-picky happens today, I'm running off and joining the circus....
sorry KC i've just taken that vacancy in the circus. Work is bringing me close to an edge where i'm likely to do something rash!0 -
Hmm I thought the recipe was from a Good Food or Olive magazine but I can't find it on their website. Was fairly similar to this one http://www.riverford.co.uk/homefarm/recipes/recipes/by:category/pudding_cake_recipes/parsnip-cake but think it had some fruit peel in as well. Any carrot cake-type recipe would probably work OK.Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0

Bother! And various polite interpretations of the words we actually use :mad::mad: will you write to them telling them that, or can't you bear it right now?Lemon_Tree wrote: »sorry KC i've just taken that vacancy in the circus. I seriously do feel your pain, LT, and accept that you need the circus vacancy more than I do. I still reserve the right to sidle on by as an unpaid intern tho2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Oh deary me, what are they like  I think dartboard is probably it, or take your birthday, add on your Granny's year of birth and divide by the age of the clients youngest! And if they make a mistake you have to re-pay them straight away and if you make a mistake you may just end up in jail. Nothing like dealing with anyone reasonable is it :rotfl: No, nothing like at all.
LT - sorry you are having a bad day - what ever you do, don't jump without a safety net!:j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j0 -
Hello. I always read WTFC as What the F*** sorry but I read it like that in my head - think it fits with what people must say every time they have to deal with them. Sorry but I am going to suggest a complaint again! If you are earning less then surely the payment should at the least stay the same or go up?
Oh by the way - I am up and running with internet again and off to check the blogs out. Yours was the first thing I did when I got my internet back:)Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Yay! Mrs Moo is back! :T :T :T Bleurgh to WTFC though  gosh Pippi I don't know how you don't go down there and dump a pile of horse poo on their desks I really dno't. (I bet you could too with your contacts)0
