    Hi all
Another good night and each day Max is a little bit better even if she still looks wobbly. I can't tell you what a relief it is or how glad I am for the support.

WTFC people are evil... you've hit the nail on the head cheery, they don't seem to realise that real actual people are on the receiving end of those payments... or demands. My ma had some issues with them not long ago.

On a brighter note, popped by to say hello :hello:, I have been something of a lurker across MSE in general over the last few weeks! Garden looking a tip here, couldn't get the mower started on the one dry day lately, so ho hum to that... :rotfl:

  • My tail of woe with the wftc.

In about 2006 they assasinated both my children. A computer glich, stopped all my payments and demanded the money paid from the april to the january. We were really tight at that time and when I rang for the first time about it. I was told by the little madam on the phone. "That I shouldn't rely on benefit payments to live on:eek:." I won't bore you with the blow by blow of how this was put right. I did get the money back about 18 months later, but hmph. So I have always been very mistrustful of their workings.

Glad you had a lovely weekend. It was glorious here yesterday and went a carbooting sold all my stuff except some books a few things that could be ebayed and a couple of boxes of stuff that are off to the charity shop as I wouldn't be able to post them, so they may as well make some money out of them.

Nobody please mention work or week plans. I still haven't done mine for this month:(. I just need a spare 5 minutes and the motivation.

I am hanging around to see if my friend is allowed out of hospital today after her chemo, but the consultant still hasn't been around yet.

Did the rounds of the charity shops this morning. I bought some bargain books brand new one of dd's favourite author all hardbacks. So I have squirrled those away.

Greenval - so glad she seems a bit better today.

Well off to peer into cupboards and freezer to see what can be for tea in case I have to disappear quick to be taxi service.
My finances are work in progress.

  • Oh sfrd - I hear that pain re wtfc, they once awarded me £5.11 per child, per week after me and my hubby split - I got told a similar story - don't depend on it. Long story and Oneparentfamiliesscotland later - a great advisor and a snotty ex hubby we got it semi sorted. Poor you what a palava eh, you don't get awarded it if you don't need it!

Hugs for your chum, I talked to my pal today who got diagnosed with cervical cancer 4 years ago (after chemo and radiology, she's in remission) and its her birthday today - I'm so glad she's ok, I hope your chum will be too.

Good for you on the charity shop finds! Goodluck peering into cupboards and finding something yummy we're having fajhitas with reduced bits and slightly wrinkly peppers.

GV - I'm so pleased, big doggie hug from us!!!

Lottie nice to hear from you, hope you're good, you'll get a dry day one day!

KC we are squeaky but looking forwards, now that the mega squeeking will be a bit less frequent, hopefully we can build on that base income a bit and relax into paying off all our debts and keeping up the frugal living.

I'm on the sofa, I'm so tired - given in to it! Haven't left the homestead today, did a bit of washing, talked to a chum for an hour (!) and Mr F and I have been internet shopping for houses, which I wish we hadn't done cos we found an ace one with a lot of land near my favouritestest place in the universe with a humungous garden which we could (when I say we, I of course mean 'he') can afford that looked lovely.

Note to self, don't look at houses when you're not ready to move or buy one. But it was pretty

greenval hugs for you and Max, hope she has a speedy recovery.

Pippi, have a rest, it's not a crime and sometimes you just need it especially after your travels over the 48hrs. Internet shopping for houses is a terrible habit i really must stop doing it, especially until after we've sold our place.

Of course you were on the sofa after that weekend :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I go through phases of looking at houses/apartments on the web - sometimes I love doing it, sometimes it gets me quite down ... but you guys are having negotiations as well, about type/area - you *have* to do this now really, you can't just wait until you're ready!

Hope today goes well, O Womble Of Wonderfulness :j

  • O womble of wonderfulness?

    Oh, KC I love it!

Morning all - hope you're all good

LT - I hope you sell it soon!

KC - it got me depressed but I guess I can keep talking :) to him and we'll get there. Cheery I think it might sell but who knows, its part of a bigger estate so I guess it will probably sell - but its interesting looking at the different prices and areas.

    Today

Hmmm, wrote a stroppy letter to tax folk :)
    Packed up 5 ebay parcels
    Done emails for work etc
    Fed hens
Got eggs ready for 1/2 doz going to work
Went to get the bus to town to get car from airport - then OH decided he'll go in at lunchtime to town and I can have a lift - so saved bus fare

Got to get to post office later on and collect car (parking free at airport so doesn't really matter when we get it)
Go into office and tie in with ex-boss and hand over a weather machine we picked up at w/kend on way up road
    Print a thing for OH
Have a look at presentation for Friday
Get the evening class list and phone around them to tell them the Guru veggie guy is giving a talk

Hope you're all good :) banks OK (squeaky still but OK), cc not great but I'll do a pad when I find out whats happenning with WTFC

Might do a bit more ebaying.......................

  • oh pippi you had to say the e word:(. I really need to make a start with mine. Had planned to do that yesterday but I really just spent hanging around waiting; friend still in hospital and bless her she is so desperate to get home.

So today I must get on Planning is the the top of the list,
and a beef cobbler for tea:D, with a few other things to do in between.

Hope you have a good day.
