cheri it appears Benny being a good name for a ginger cat, my friend has one and he sounds a lot like yours in character.0

Liking the cat stories! My cat does that too Cheri, and she is called Polly the pirate cat in honour of that, plus the fact that she says "arrrrrh" when she is really excitedWeight loss: Start weight: 80kg; Current Weight: 77kg; Target weight: 55kg0

Benny may be a perfect name then. Pippi, if it is a boy cat can we call him Benjamin Pusskins (2)? Only joking, hope you get him. There are often chickens and other animals advertised on freeserve here. Hello all, just a quick word before heading for bed.
I am now back in the land of internet, had no computer access for nearly three weeks, except a brief visit on DH's machine while at Pippi's....didn't spend much time there...too busy chattering away!!
So yet another :T THANK YOU :T to Pippi for her wonderful hospitality...we all had a great time up in Orkney.
Well done to your DS on his exam results. :T
I too am a bit of a perfectionist. Didn't get the Higher grades I expected, as I sat them all writing with the wrong hand (sore/psycosomatic (sp?) left hand)!! I didn't ask for extra time or a scribe...consider myself reasonably ambidextrous...so felt I could do it easily. Everything dropped a grade...horrendous to me then...was all set to resit them all until mum pointed out that I had indeed still passed them all and had done enough to get to university...still rankles a bit though, even two degreree and loads of qualifications later...how sad am I!!! :rotfl:
I will natter again later, but as you see, I am up far too late, and was up @ 6am this (well, yesterday now!) morning to catch the bus, to catch the next bus, then a third bus, to catch the plane back doon sooth.
So off to bed now, will return soon....promise!
Oh Pippi, plants all thriving, including the nepeta that DH forgot! Did you give me some angelica and cicely seed? I'm sure you did...perhaps they are in the abandoned box outside along with the nepeta ...so they may be sprouting!! Will check later.
Night, night all x

Morning all
Didn't get on here yesterday a bit gadding about having adventures - not caught up on everything yet, but coffee is brewing and I'm about to
Mr Flowers, Mr stripes, or perhaps Mr Longstocking (um no that last one sounds a tad wierd!) is awa' hame on da boat, then he's off adventuring in Canada for a couple weeks so we'll not see him for a while. Just waved him off and asked him not to break himself!
Yay to keiss being home, plants thriving and getting 'doon sooth' safely the seeds were in the box with the plants or with the food, I think the plants hope you find them if not I can send more. And, jolly good fun we all had toogreat company thank you so much for visiting and getting a bit of a garden adventure in too
The cat chat on here i lovely - LT I know what you mean, being a tiny community though, I think maybe I don't mind it. Not nice when folk decide to rehome a pet, but they don't take them on freegle if they don't have a genuine reason. However, cheri I dont think I've seen a donkey advertised lately - that's very rural indeed!
As it turned out the cat had gone, long haired anyway, I think I'd prefer a short hair for rat duties, think I'll take the plunge and get intouch wiht local cats protection group and start to find a suitable compatriot for peedie
LT, how will he take to a cat, we did have Mrs Norris before she left us for a better bowl of whiskas - she kept peedie in line - although at Wiks - I've never seen my dog run so fast after her cat, which was great exercise for him, and of course he never caught it!
Right - brekkie, coffee, catch ups and a plan for the week - I may even post a very large list indeed. Larger than normal, we'll see.................I need to keep busy until the next humans arrive here next week. Until then, there aint no one here but the pesky chickens, the mutt of delight and moi.
You may find me on here alot!
*morning* pass the toast.
Ps, I've decided I want to write for country living, I've applied/bothered them many times before, they often have a writer living off remotely and causing great hilarity with their tales of life not in the fast lane (stone cottage, takes from a small holding etc) - I need to fathom an approach or bother the local paper and see if I can get *something* in there, problem with that is everyone is living on an island that reads it, therefore its not so interesting.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Hi Pippi! Hope Mr Stripes has fun in Canada (not too much fun without you, of course!).
"Mrs Norris and the mutt of delight" - thats definitely a title for an article. But if you can't get into Country Living yet, there's all sorts of options - not just the local paper (tho I bet people would still be interested). Why not the local paper where you grew up? Or another magazine? Or blogging on The Guardian website with Alys Fowler? I definitely think you could have a career as a writer if you wanted one.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Morning KC, grabs a pancake as it flies over to KC
- sorry KC couldnt wait for the next one.
Earl Grey anybody.
Hey Pippi, with regards the writing I agree their are probably lots of opportunities, how about freelancing? Why not write an article and send it off to several places and see what happens. I think lots of people would love to read your articles - after all look how many followers you have on your blog now. Oh by the way I mentioned you in mine yesterday, hope you dont mind.
Whistler - wow lucky man. Maybe when I get up and running in Austria you could all come over to do mountain biking there. The mountain biking world championships are being held just down the road from me in 2012 over there.
