my garden and the front of my home has been dog dirt free for the first time in 15 years and regardless how it has been achieved I am more than happy at not having to clean someone else's dog crap up on a daily basis.

You should be ashamed of yourself....

No, you're right - and it's not something I would do.

I wouldn't carry it all the way home or have it in the car either though - it goes in the nearest bin.

LOL - a couple of times I've been faced with the problem of what to do with the bags of poo when theres no bins around to put them in and I need to drive back home. There's no way I'm going to stink my car out with poo bags, so I've been known to hang them from my rear wiper!!!! :rotfl: (down at the bottom where the wiper is attached to the car, so theres no chance of it accidentally coming off and hitting the car behind :o

Even better most councils give them away for free.

They did until local councils had to make budget cuts

This is one of my babies, Jack:

I tend to tie the bags to the clip of the extending lead so I'm not carrying it. We have a lot of dog bins in my area now (probably because it was spiralling out of control) so finding full bags littering isn't a problem anymore.
Our council used to give them out, though I don't know if they still do as I buy scented nappy sacks for my two.

Photographs of them together are nigh on impossible to achieve....they wind eachother up (in a playful way) so you end up with a photo of one dog and a blur where the other was lol

This is the other anyway, this is Bob, he's 11 and the laziest dog in the world. The Scottie is younger at 8. He's a duff westie, so called because as you can see his ears never came up, though we suspect its because he is just to lazy to lift them!

You've got two very good looking dogs - I'm envious!

When I look at that photo it's as if he's looking straight at me willing me to give him a treat! :D

Believe it or not I was sat on 'his side' of the sofa, and he will sit and stare and cry until you shift. He is the only dog i know who sees his lead come out and hides because he really can't be bothered. This is what he does all day:

I use Asda Smart Price Nappy bags for picking up poo. They cost £0.27p for 300 bags

There were another 5 dog owners when I walked my two the other day, I was the only one with a carrier bag full of doggydoo.

A carrier bag full? Jesus, how many craps do your dogs take?? I walk two and they usually only poo once each. The mess is picked up, bagged and binned. There are loads of bins where I live.
  • It would be a lot easier if dog owners taught their dogs to only do their business on grass/mud. The dogs I sometimes walk are trained this way and it makes it a lot easier. They wouldn't go in someone's garden though, they go elsewhere.

I appreciate that people in built up areas and towns/cities can find it difficult to find a path/walk on grass/mud/non-paving, in which case you will have no option but to pick it up and take it with you. I would be not a lot to ask though that dog owners don't allow their dogs to do business on someone's drive. Just pull on the lead. Easy :)
