P.S. Mum and babies doing well. She still won't let us near to take pics but is quite happy to be hand fed cooked chicken. Will get some pics soon once everything settles down. The babies are fat and happy and as cute as can be.....from what we can see.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Meant to post this before I went as need your input folks.
I bought pastry items from a supermarket bakery back in march of last year (in cellophane). Got them home and had one that weekend. bit into it and there was GLASS all the way through it, I'm not talking 1 bit I'm talking countless and had cut my mouth. Called the customer support line, given complaint tracking number and told to take items to my nearest store. I took photos. Took them back to the store told them what happened and they really couldn't be bothered. Heard nothing for weeks, chased it, nothing, chased it, nothing again, chased it again, still nothing and finally lost the plot and sent a very snotty letter. Finally a reply!! That was january this year. So after me sending them the photos I had, telling them that that amount of time to deal with something wasn't on. They offered me £75 to spend in store, told them to away and chase themselves and stop insulting me after them forgetting about such a serious incident for so long. So they have offered me £150. OH says tell them where to go. I am not sure.
Opinions please?CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J0 -

Depends what success would look like to you in this instance. If you want the company to sit up and take more notice and better care, then have a word with your local environmental health people - they investigate claims, and have some impressive powers (plus a habit of making companies sweat!).
Usually they ask you to bring the food to them at the time, but as it's a while back etc. I'm not sure whether they can investigate but they're usually good people so it's at least worth the chat. You'll need to explain that you're concerned they aren't taking the contamination of their food chain seriously and show the pics.
If you're looking for the money, then I'd guess you're into civil claims territory.....way beyond my knowledge! But I would say that £150 compensation, for something which could've killed you, really doesn't sound like a lot.0 -
Thanks Nora.
Right, guess what?
The car broke down this morning!!!!!!:mad::mad::mad:
Not a happy bunny. £160 to fix it.
Glad I didn't pay the extra to Egg/BC or wouldn't be able to afford to pay the car!CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. argh to car sounds like it needs a stern talking to if you ask me, do you need me to come along and give it one of my 'looks'? i've been known to make people quake in their shoes lol
Not sure what to suggest about the glass in the food, but Nora has summarised it quite nicely.
Thanks for the help with the phone info, i don't really use minutes as i've got a landline so mostly i text, i think i would be interested in knowing some of their internet access tarrifs etc though so that's another thing to look into.
Mr LT got some form of android phone back in Oct on Orange for £10.5 pm with 30 mins, 500 text & some internet (can't remember that bit) and he had to pay aoubt £100 towards the handset so i just don't know what to do. Is it a whim? Possibly as i keep going on and off the boil.0 -

I worked an 11 hour day yesterday and then called to see a friend who was poorly and needed some shopping, I came home and took DS2 to footy. He'd cooked for all the children and himself, but nothing for me. It was the thoughtlessness that upset me the most. One night a week, usually less than that he has to cook. Sounds petty this morning but I wasn't impressed.
