Have you looked at your credit report recently? The future might already be here.
Ok, update.... I did some tarot.... only £2 and been making a card for my Gran.
Yeah to 2 pound to the debt pot,
...........Ok peeps.... would you like a laugh? yes please
SS as I mentioned is looking to get a car, he went to see about a bank loan and finance. After getting 'sucked' in big time by the showroom and a brand new car (10 plate), he decided that the bank wasn't for him (they only offered him £2k due to age and wages). So he comes home (OH at work) and says we'll need to be his guarantors! :rotfl:
OMG! I couldn't stop laughing. He just didn't get it, told him no way on this earth am I being a guarantor for him for 5 years. He's just not getting where I'm coming from.
Is he named la la, dipsy, tinky winky, or po? Because he obviously doesn't live on this planet! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Even IF he hadn't been such a complete !!!!!! to you over the last 12 months, I still wouldn't guarantee the loan for a car! Tell him to save for the shiny if he really wants it. GIT. Just make sure that OH doesn't get PRESSURED into guaranteeing it behind your back. Sorry but i don't have a high opinion of your OH'S spine.
Anyway thought you'd appreciate a chuckle. I'm very sore and think I may go back and see the doc as this pain is beyond a joke.
Definitely go back if you are in constant pain. Are you drinking lots of water? Also can't remember which way it is now but I think (check) that kidney stones are basically calcium? So are alkali? So if you drink acid things it might help. BUT it might be the other way round, that is why you should check
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

Thanks Chev. OH nearly did get sucked in until SS went on a complete rampage this morning, screaming, shouting and punchig his bed. Told OH no more, SS apologises and no more little tantrums. He's only doing this as he's realised he should have listened. Told SS to swallow his pride or whatever it is and face facts the bank loan is all he'll get. Going with him (so he doesn't lie to bank manager) to bank on Sat, but only if he apologises. He's blasted it all over facebook he's getting a new car, so tough he shouldn't have shot his mouth off without checking facts.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Good grief Unix...he really is a prat!!!
Our DS2 would love to learn to drive and then get a car. We could just about afford to pay for it all, but we have said to him he needs to get himself a PT job to help pay for it. He is at college locally and we take him to a from there every day (cheaper than the laid-on minibus, but can be a pain). He hasn't really looked for anything, so he knows he won't be learning to drive any time soon!! There are times I wish he would though...the couple of weeks that I am unable to drive atm are a case in point.
Feeling a bit better today, the anti-biotics certainly have kicked in, thank goodness. Going to have my first shower for 9 days today...so looking forward to it! :j I managed to wash my hair on Sunday, but really need to have this shower today. Been told to wait until DH and DS2 are home (@ lunchtime) before I get washed, just in case I feel a bit dizzy. So lounging about this morning...ooh the luxury!
Good luck with bringing SS down to earth in the real world at the bank.
Get yourself to the docs and get this pain sorted. I know my lil'sis was told she had to avoid all dairy products, (especially cheese) when she had kidney stones...she did this for a few months after she passed the stones. Thankfully they haven't returned (16 years now), despite her eating lots of cheese again
Take care, and enjoy the rest of the day xxx

Yes I know, he's 20 he should know better. He's very ungrateful at times and doesn't realise how lucky he is. More than most at his age.
I will go and see about it Keiss, its really quite painful. I really hope they dont tell me to give up cheese, I love the stuff!CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Bad girl uni, was bored at lunchtime and put £5 into my online lottery account. Spent £2 on scratchcards, won £6. So am £4 up! Resisted temptation to buy more so transferred it back to my bank account. £4 going to BC/Egg!CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. hi Uni
spotted you mentioning kidney stones on Pippi's thread and rushed over to see how you are. I've got gallstones, which though different are painfull so you have my sympathy.
glad you've told your OH that he needs to get a grip, and appreciate that he's got a good job in the recession. and you're so right not going near being SS's guarentor with a barge pole.
my dad offered to do that with his son, well apart from the fact it lead to him finding out his ex wife has bounced cheques in his name and got him black listed so they wouldn't accept him as guarentor,in the end his son never made one mortgage payment so he and my mum would have been responsible for the entire mortgage. all came out right in the end, but i would never stand guarentor for anyone.0 -
Thanks LT. We went to bank and car showroom yesterday. Had OH nagging me all day to take a loan out for SS and I kept say no. Told SS if he wanted finance from my address he had to do it himself and pay iy off in 18 months, that was the deal. Bank declined him. Unfortunately they also declined OH by mistake (similar names) so that made me wonder why? So took SS to car showroom and negoatiated one hell of a deal with them for him (OH was a bit taken aback). Got pretty new car, very low mileage (genuine), with same APR (almost 1% difference) to what bank would have given him and they accepted it, got £600 kncoked off price and p/x for his old car which means we don't have to spend money 'trying' to fix it. OH done nothing but moan because I wouldn't take out the loan, told him after 2 in the house getting declined at the bank (OH and SS) there was a good chance I would have as well! SS gets his new car this week. He's been a bit nicer to me but not his Dad. OH saying I did nothing to help and SS done all this himself (yeah right). Told him I'm keeping his V5 and each month he has to give me £60 towards the balloon payment (so its there for him at the end) and if he misses one payment (direct debit) even by a penny I'll kill him. Oh and it'll be paid off completely in a year.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. well done for taking control and getting such a good deal, do you want to come with me when i finally go car shopping? i'm terrible at negotiating and need all the help i could get.
how are you feeling today?0 -
Hi LT, happy to come and help the negotiations
. Learned from my Dad, who was hell of a salesman (he looks after animals now). The car salesman and his boss didn't stand a chance. The boss said to OH "I don't fancy getting on the wrong side of her, what does she do.....law"? :rotfl:
OH been nagging all day he's not well... boohoo he knows how I've been feeling for the past week. Came home early on friday and just wanted to be sick then sleep (sorry if thats a bit graphic). The kidney pain has subsided (thankfully) but I have a cough on me that rivals my dog's bark.. So got cough medicine yesterday, £5 it cost me! Couldn't believe it.
Had quick trip back to home town today for my Gran's birthday. It would also have been her wedding anniversary today. I know she misses my Papa, so do I. OH just kept moaning he wasn't feeling well (wish he wouldn't insist on going somewhere if he's just going to moan).
Anyway off to quickly pay bills then bed as picking OH up at 6am.
Night night everyone.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J0 -
Well done on standing firm with OH and SS, and congrats on the car deal you negotiated. :T:T
Glad you saw your gran, shame you took OH with you, he could have just stayed home and you could have enjoyed yourself more!!
So is he gearing up to avoiding work tomorrow?? He should wise up and realise what a fantastic woman you are and stop moaning all the time. You really are too good for him!!
Had my first Xmas fair of the year today, sold a few bits. Didn't sell as much as I'd hoped though. Still haven't counted the money yet, slept all afternoon, then had tea and been watching tv/on laptop all evening...bliss!!
Need to get back to sewing tomorrow, want to try out my new machine.
Glad you're feeling a bit better, though shame about the cough...try having some honey, just a spoonful, or in some warm water with sme lemon juice.
