I personally would buy step son nothing, nada, zilch. Sorry but from what you've posted, you must have the patience of a saint to put up with what you have. I also think the time has come to put yourself first. Take care

I did have the same thought Lucielle believe me, but decided to spend absolute minimum. The AA cover I can get for £7 (through Quidco) and I'll get him some sweets that's it. I think SD might 'appear' as she'll want presents that she can flog. Decided (and told OH) if she appears she gets nothing, she's not staying or even getting across the threshold.

OH is back working again, he started moaning about this job and I told him to shut up and be grateful he got another job (decent one this time, no rats) that is reasonably paid.

I was going to do some tarot tonight but too sore, think I'll have to go back and see the doc. Just off to check LT's and the Stripey diary then bed.

    Night night folks.

glad that OH has got a job. doesn't he realise there is a recession? !!!!!! he is a git. people are desparate for any work, and he is picky, cos it isn't well paid? well it is better than the dole or nothing. And what is it saying to your SS if your OH is being such a light weight about jobs?

Sorry to hear about the kidney stones too. They really hurt I gather. Pity your OH can't see how much mental and physical pain you are in. You know since you have been posting on this installment of your diary, I don;t think you have posted one redeeming feature for either your OH OR YOUR SS. Maybe you need to think about that....

I agree with everything chev says ^^^

Thanks for the tip about the teas Unix ...don't drink any teas or hot drinks, but may have to give one of them a go! Hope you are feeling better soon too. :o

Up in the middle of the night as I can't sleep and no postition is very comfortable for long atm. Thought I'd distract myself on MSE (& other sites) for a while, need to move again soon though.

Thanks Keiss, Chev. As for OH and SS, yes I think you may be right. Its not exactly how I imagined it would be to be honest. On a more positive note, I got my article published by my work. I wrote a programme review (new comedy, it airs tonight and we got a preview), I don't get paid for it but well chuffed. Have sent a copy onto my Mum.

    Oh well done Unix :j:T:T

Even if it isn't paid work, it all adds to the cv. :D

Hope you can come to some decision/compromise
about your OH and SS, though personally I feel you have compromised far too often. Think you need to be strong in that department :o

    Have a good day xxx

Another £1.20 paid to Egg/BC. Small change I know but still. Have setup my snowballs again as went way off track. Its saying 53 months to pay off everything, I aim to do it in a lot less!

Well done on your saving Unix..as Mr T says, every little helps!!! I should really be more organised in paying off our ccs...we have only one left now that we don't clear every month, and it's interest-free. but we have a tendency just to pay off the minimum. So determined to clear this one, before the end of its 0% term.

Feeling much better today, though still quite tender below the belly-button region, where the op was. The bruising seems to have started to die down today, and turning from vivid purple/brown to shades of yellow and green...lovely!!

Been supervising DS2 to moving various bits and pieces this morning...must have been hard work...he was dripping with sweat!!! I need to access the main PC, but it has been sitting on a broken stand for months which has been too high to work at. I have a whole lot of crafting software on it I want to use. I plan to make toppers for my bags of choccy raisins etc for the xmas fair on Sunday, as well as other things. So DS2 has taken up a base unit from the shed that we can use instead. It will need a bit of sorting out where to put everything (bin for some things!:D), but I should be able to get some designing and printing done tomorrow :j

Enjoy the rest of the day...off to do some knitting, before measuring out and bagging some sweeties...yummmmm!

0% cards Keiss, if only. Maybe I'll try for a balnace transfer at some point in the future.

Ok, update.... I did some tarot.... only £2 and been making a card for my Gran.

...........Ok peeps.... would you like a laugh?

SS as I mentioned is looking to get a car, he went to see about a bank loan and finance. After getting 'sucked' in big time by the showroom and a brand new car (10 plate), he decided that the bank wasn't for him (they only offered him £2k due to age and wages). So he comes home (OH at work) and says we'll need to be his guarantors! :rotfl:

OMG! I couldn't stop laughing. He just didn't get it, told him no way on this earth am I being a guarantor for him for 5 years. He's just not getting where I'm coming from.

Anyway thought you'd appreciate a chuckle. I'm very sore and think I may go back and see the doc as this pain is beyond a joke.
