dont know what you mean by that but it happens to best of garages.

I had a client whose car was written off (Did a 720 spin during a "Test drive") by a Ferrari specialit. The car was an £80k spider F1

Lol @ people claiming your insurance will go up because of the accident where you weren't even involved in. Yes, insurance goes up anyway everyyear, but yours alone won't go up extra because of this !!!!!!!

Yes, garage can crash car... I was sitting in the passenger seat of my mum's car (which I'd taken to be MOT'd) with the engineer who had just passed it sitting in the driving seat, when his colleague backed another car out of the garage right down the side of mum's car. They had to replace three panels. Neither the engineer nor I could believe what was happening and were shouting "stop".
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

Only in your world. Meanwhile back on planet earth insurance quotes are based on the risk of the driver based on their history and the performance, repair costs and the popularity with car thieves of the car they're driving....

and the number of claims that have been issued in the previous few months, the postcode and your profession etc.

I can't see how they could increase your premium because someone hit your car and the other insurer paid out, it maybe different if the other party weren't insured and your insurer had to pay out, but even that seems to be on the border of discrimination of sorts.
Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.

Advisories are Halfords/NAC's speciality. They use them to scare people into parting with more cash getting some spanner-monkey to fix it.
I had 4 advisories from a NAC MOT, my car passed 2 more MOT's elsewhere without having any of them fixed.

A driver who parks his car and leaves it still has to declare an accident to his insurer (if someone crashes in to it) even though he was not in the car at the time. Having to declare an accident which happened whilst you left the car in the hands of somebody else doesn't strike me as being that much different?
