Why will it? You haven't had an accident and no claim has been made on your policy so your premiums will not increase. The fact that someone else has had an accident in that car and has claimed on THEIR insurance has absolutely no effect on your policy whatsoever.
Under your way of looking at it, any person who bought a car that had at any point in its entire history been involved in a claim, even for something like a cracked mirror, would mean the buyer ends up with increased premiums which is quite frankly ludicrous.
Its not what was involved in the accident but WHOM.
A non-fault accident will increase your premiums. That is a 100% nailed on FACT.

Its not really fact if you read the whole article everyones insurance is going regardless if they had a claim against them, for them or any other reason. Insurance has always been based on the ongoing risks. If claims go up insurance does tend to go up. Whilst the first person did have a claim that was settled by the third party the others didn't and there insurance still went up.Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0 -
In the eye's of the insurance company your more likely to have an accident in future, therefore premiums go up fault or no fault.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

in this situ, i would of gone to the garage and asked them for thier insurance details and dealt with them directly not go through mine or a management company.
had the car removed under their costs to an approved body shop, more likley a dealership body shop, requested they provide an imeadiate like for like curtesy car. had the car delivered to my door, and if it werent satisfactory rejected the repair i.e ill fitted wing. then after all that mot'd it elsewhere0 -
Surprised you didn't tell the OP not to worry after all you think the DVLA own all cars don't you?
They more or less do - when you sign the form that is produced by AFRL for a new car it says something along the lines of "you are transferring the right to the vehicle to the Government in return for being able to use it on the public road" or something.
Can't quote it word for word but there's something like that in there.0 -
