well you will have to make that distinction(why not just stick with GPO?)
given the Post Office will be a completely separate entity soon
Because most people, bar the terminally anal, understand that when you refer to the 'Post Office' delivering something you mean whichever entity currently employs the people who deliver the things with stamps on.
There are still people around who refer to BT as 'Post Office Telephones', and they mean that in the sense of the manhole covers which still say 'Post Office Telephones' all over the country rather than the piggybacked telephone service fronted by 'The Post Office'.There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -
How can they misjudge the time? They only need to look at their watch/clock.
They wrote AM on the parcel and they didn't come till PM so wasn't even a case of writing the wrong digit down.
It does matter because they have lied.
They didn't come at 11.30am as if they did, I would have been in to receive the parcel.
That's if they even had the parcel with them in the first place.
Why do you have to stick up for them just because you used to work for the same company?
Whoever it was is a liar, so you are condoning that. Nice.
what a saddo you are lol
I can imagine you timing the RM staff and maligning everything in the world
stick up for them? what does it matter what time is on the card?
if you arent home then its irrelevant
seems you like a good old whine about nothing0 -

For goodness sake, will you ever stop banging on about something that's of no interest to anyone other than sad, anal, types with nothing of importance to occupy their minds. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -

I'm not sad at all.
What is sad are employees who lie about their work and ex employees who think it is acceptable.Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -

I know the right name but, from force of habit developed over many years, I occasionally use an older one that everyone but the odd obsessive pratt understands perfectly well. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -
Now now shellsuit.
Don't accuse Custardy of always sticking up for Royal mail & their employees.
He just gets upset and denies it, even though posts such as the ones on here easily prove the opposite.

I haven't worn a watch since I was a kid.I'm sure I'm not alone.
Why would they come to your door without the parcel? You make no sense at all.
I don't work for them btw.
For them to be a liar, they'd have to be knowingly saying something untrue. For them to be mistaken/wrong, they'd have to not know the exact time.0 -
what does it matter what time is on the card?
erm.. because they have clearly written the wrong time for a reason. More often that not it is because they can't be bothered delivering the special delivery ones as it means knocking, getting a signature etc. as opposed to posting then getting the hell out of there (I know many posties who are very workshy, lazy gits so even though we appreciate you were not like this, most sadly are)0
