    Hi,

We've added Pipex, Tiscali (both TalkTalk providers now), Zen and Tesco.

    Thanks.

    Btw, I'm loving this week's game ... :j
  • We use waitrose to supply our broadband. Not cheap but expert help comes from 0800 number, updated routers and now new wireless router.

We have been with 'Madasafish' for years for Broadband.

Excellent broadband service, great helpful Customer Service (on the 3 times it's been needed over the years) and even sorted BT out for us when BT were blaming our Broadband provider for the fault on our non-working phone line for 7 days DESPITE the broadband continuing to work!!!!

Can you add them on too please, Thanks
    Can't resist a bargain!!

I use Smallworld - not on your list. I have been with them for a few years and have yet to find a cheaper, or better service provider for my home phone, internet and tv. It is a cable network so the internet is fast and reliable, even on the basic speed. Cant praise them enough:j

You have not mentioned Waitrose - now Greenbee I think. Expensive but excellent broadband provider. Add them?

Neither is there mention of telephone prefixes. We have excellent service from 18185.

Yes - but it still operates as Demon: http://www.demon.net/

Appalling customer service, and the so-called 'technical support team' (based in India and utterly useless) is only open from 0800 to 2000. So if your broadband packs up at 2000 you've got a 12 hour wait before you can even talk to them.

Demon used to be one of the very best. Now it's one of the worst. Reviews here:

You're preaching to the converted, Doc N.

We left Demon after five years of broadband provision. Demon slipped from providing a good service through to a mediocre service before settling on absolute pants. The final straw came when Demon wouldn't raise a ticket with OpenReach when our upstream linesync kept dropping to 64kbps. It has to be consistently below 288kbps Demon said before they will report it, and it was only periodically poor, so "no fault recorded". Demon "customer services" told us that ADSL is predominantly a downstream service, and upstream speeds aren't relevant. Yet with a nobbled upstream you can no longer do a lot of things like VOIP.

It can make a huge difference when a company is bought out by a bigger fish. They might nominally continue to trade under the old business name as Demon did with Thus and then Cable and Wireless, but in the end, the buying company always absorbs the tiddler company into its existing infrastructure, to save money. It's likely, on the same grounds of rationalisation, that the customer services and billing departments of the tiddler will also be brought under the same management team. That was the major problem when Pipex and Tiscali were bought out. Initially there were huge teething troubles with such a big logistics exercise.

We were paying Demon £40 a month for up to 8Mbps for a business a/c.
We are now paying TalkTalk £10 a month for up to 24Mpbs for a business a/c.

Haven't looked back since. Leaving Demon was a No Brainer.
