Ive looked on weenotions and want to order some pads from there but im not sure what i need to get
I use weenotions and I love them, they're just one piece (which I prefer) and dry extremely fast! I use medium abosrbancy which I find to be very absorbant but if you have a heavy flow I recommmend getting a mixture of medium and heavy. If you get six in one go she gives you one free which I find is excellent value!
I started off which a few to find out what I liked and didn't like and have just kept adding to them (so I don't have to wash as often!)
I put them in a lidded bucket (the only place I could find one was a nappy pail from boots!) and sellotape a cotton bud dipped in tea tree oil inside the lid (a tip I got from here, it prevents stinky!)Comping, freebieing and trying to pay the mortgage off early!0 -
hi i wonder if i can add my comments and ask some questions
i am young 21, and when i first saw these (must be over 1 year ago) i thought i must get these but my mother 51 put me off, however i am running out of free towels/panty liners fast so i think i am going to buy some of these (next pay day) :rotfl: i really really begrudge paying £3.00 for a pack of 24 pads only for they to end up in land fill, sadly i cant use tampons very well. Anyway i have a condition that sadly means i dont know from one week to the next when i am likely to come on so i wear a panty liner (always/bodyform) 24/7.
Now i have seen that these places do panty liners (peewee and weenotions) are these quite thick and bulky? could you get away with wearing them everyday? Also with washing could you get away with rinsing them (obviously everyday isnt going to be a blood day) in cold water wringing them out and popping them in a pj sack or simmaler and then bung it all in the wash or would you always soak them first? I live with my mother and brother you see and sticking a bucket in the bathroom doesnt sound to appealing :rotfl:
thanks for any advice0 -
i too wear liners 24/7.I have some pads from ebay,a portuguese woman making them and they are great.thin but not too thin if you know what i mean.
i feel confident.
i also you an ecofemme towel which has one or two liners you insert so i wear 1 and keep the spare in case i need to boost it.
I place in a ucket if bloody but if not sraight in the machine with knickers etc whatevers being washed.
hope that helps.Every day above ground is a good one0 -
Posting: I use the medium flow weenotions and they're about as thin as a panty liner anyway but longer. They're still really absorbent, I don't know if ti's because I chose hemp for the middle (which from my rudimentary research told me was absorbent without being bulky!) or if it's just because of how they are?Comping, freebieing and trying to pay the mortgage off early!0

If you read the thread properly you will see its about far more than saving money. I wont bother to repeat here as you are obviously not at all interested in what we're talking about. Breaking into a thread just to make stupid comments is not exactly a mature attitude.... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

Chubacheroo - i used elliestore's pad post-partum - very good. i spent loads on dispos before i knew and you can end up quite sore on those. : (
with post-partum pads, you can wash and never run-out. i put them in with washable nappies. also, you can have blood for up to 6 weeks after birth!

To answer an earlier question:
Peeweez pads are, in my opinion, thin but absorbant. I don't know about wearing them under thin or pale trousers but they are fine under my jeans (which is all I wear.)
I would wear them all day without concern (but obviously change them regularly, as they are breatheable cotton) not synthetic. If you don't rinse your pants after use, there's no need to rinse these if you wore them on a dry day.
If you don't want to keep a bucket in the bathroom, why not have your own laundry basket in your bedroom? You could keep a small bag of rinsed towels in with your own laundry and pop them in with your own bedding and towels every week.May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0
