Well i survived the night :o, but my leg now feels like its not attached and still numbness in my foot.

Get some ice on that back, 15 min for every hour and some ibuprophen (sp?) gel. Better to get H to give your back a good massage too.

    Morning my lovelies :D

Cool here but we've got some sun so hopefully it will warm up a bit later.
Not much happening here apart from entertaining kids etc. One load of washing hung, more to go on........
Tea tonight is chicken curry. Got HM leek and pot soup for lunch.

Hugs and spoons all round. Have a good day OS or not.

Cat-smith - Hugs for you, hope they can find out the problem asap xxx

Hello everyone, I don't post hear often so hope you don't mind me jumping in, just trying to kill some time and relax a bit, as i'm really stressing out about an appointment I have this afternoon.
I have to do to an orthodontic department to see if I am able to get braces or not, I have been on the nhs waiting list for months and months, and now my appointment is here and I'm terrified. I originaly was planning private orthodontic treatment, by after a consultation with the Ortho, she said my case was too complex and I'd need to be referred to the hospital for treatment.
I just really hope they can help, I know it may sound silly to some of you but my crooked teeth affect every aspect of my life, I have low confidence, and depression and I believe This is 99% due to the crookedness of my teeth.
So please, please keep your fingers crossed for me kind people that I can get the braces and start my journey to being happy with the way I look.
Right now I feel so sick and anxious, I'm terrified of dentists anyway and this will be in a scary hospital situation too. Eeeeeek :-(. Xx

    Morning all.
Well tomorrow won't be very money saving. Children want to go to the Science Museum. That's free, but the train fare is at least £40. Will take a packed lunch, but will have to buy dinner out. DH will stay home with the baby, it's too much to take a toddler buggy on the tube through London.
CAT, that sounds awful. I hope you get something sorted soon. :A
Need to get loads of housework done today. Woolens are washed & I have a coloured load in. I am praying the rain stays away as have darks & lights to do as well. No idea where all the washing comes from!

Have a lovely day all, whatever you are doing

love, (((hugs))) & spoons all around

Take some deep breaths, try and fill your head with lots of calming images, lying on a beach in the sunshine or something, anticipation is half the battle sometimes.
Sending you lots of positive and calming vibes for you and I hope they can help you xxx

    Morning all.

Littlelauz Hope you do get your braces and can start getting confidence in yourself. Come back later and let us know how you got on.

Mrs MH Enjoy the science museum. It's great. Nice that you can just walk round the corner to the Natural History Museum or the Victoria and Albert Museum too if you feel like it.

Cat-Smith Hope you get sorted soon. That sounds terrible.

Gillian62 Good whoopsies! Feels great to get a bargain like that eh?

BB Nasty to have pain like that! to the nail varnish on the walls. Enjoy the new sewing machine.

Also have to get up to the allotment as we have just been too busy the past 4 or 5 days and haven't been near it. At least it has been pouring so much I haven't had to water.

Almost forgot to tell you guys! Strong white bread flour in Asda yesterday for 68p/ 1.5kg!!:j BTW, that wasn't a whoopsy, just seems to be reduced for some reason.

HH, hope your BIL is okay.]

redruby, for the shoes you can just use some cheapo primark ballet pumps and sew a ribbon in (like with ballet pumps)?

littlelauz, fingers crossed for you :) i know how crooked teeth can be a pain! mine are "okay" now despite moving after having braces but i still have a bit of a scissor bite and half my meals include some chewed cheek!!

mrsmortenharket, could you postpone the trip a few days and get advanced tickets? or at least make sure they are off-peak? hope it's a good day though and you find some cheap dinner (i trustr you'll be checking all the offers on!)

bargainbird, hope your leg gets better soon. make sure you're really hydrated, dehydration can lead to pressure on nerves in the back making it feel worse :( get oh to bring you a big bottle of water if you're not up to moving around much.

Well good morning all. It's been a long time since I've posted but I have still been keeping up the OS ways and have some lovely chilli, tomato and basil plants on the go! And a new house sorted, a new job starting today and one exam left to go :) and to top it off i'll be getting back on the GC tomorrow, things are looking up.
As ever there is cleaning that needs doing today, and I need more compost to repot the rest of my tomato plants. Lunch is spanish omelette, putting bean stew in the SC for dinner to cook while I'm at work.

Grrr this horrible weather is ruining my plan to turn up for work looking groomed and composed, I'm working in beauty and they're onna think they've hired a drowned rat!

    Hello x
Hugs to those feeling under the weather especially BargainBird and Cat xx

I understand how worried people get about hospital appointments as I have three this week:(, one this afternoon!

We had yummy homegrown cabbage for dinner yesterday and Im picking my sweet peas. Im becoming very fond of my garden:)
I had a baking fest yesterday and made my dad his birthday cake, a trifle and some buns plus a daim cheesecake. Its all gone now - thats the kids for you :eek::eek:

    Hugs x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Lovely day and rain has finally stopped so bedding is being washed and hung outside.

DH has gone to deposit cheque in bank and also collect my prescription for me while he is out so I can have leisurely shower and wash my hair instead of dashing around.

Made DD a sausage sandwich as brunch while she revises for exam next week and cooked the whole pack to save fuel - rest of sausages were cooled then put in fridge so they will be quick to reheat either as a light meal, snack or with left over jersey potatoes etc.

Tonight will be chicken curry and rice using Lidl half price chicken and various veg in fridge with red thai curry sauce in jar. Managed to get a load of yellow stickered mince yesterday which went straight in freezer - about four packs of lamb mince and two of turkey for around a pound each . Freezer is now nearly full of YS meat, mince, fish, chicken and some bread and milk so I don't have to keep going to shop for basics. Wish I had got more butter at 64 pence a year ago and frozen it - cheapest basic butter is now £1.10!

DH had home grown salad leaves with tinned fish for lunch and pleased as punch to have grown something. Just wish whenever I stock up on bargains he did not feel impelled to "eat it up for me" and wonder why I don't look grateful

Have you got a family railcard? That should save about a third and have you checked sites like trainline to see id an earlier or later trip would save money?

    Cat

If you ask at the chemist there is something suggested for people with sickness so bad they can't take medication - it is a tablet that is placed between lip and gum and dissolves gently. It really helps with nausea and retching but is about a fiver for eight tablets. Trying not to give medical advice but it could be worth a try as it was worth its weight in gold last time I tried it.

Hugs to all and see you later

adelight & elona, I'm on a line directly into london. That is the cheapest.
We don't go very often, I can tell you that!
    And it's off peak!
And it's £4.50 to park at the train station. No streets local to park in either as they've been put on a timer thing as many people were parking in them so residents were unable to park.
