Wonderful, what a relief, Rosemary and I'm pleased the jobsworth got his wrists slapped. Good to know that someone at that Uni knows where the blame really lay. It's taken me years working in education to get a halfway decent salary and that incompetent lecturer's probably on twice what I am!
I hope you all have a great time at his graduation ceremony and good luck with his interview.
Speaking of which, Charlie - is your interview on the outskirts of Cardiff in Fairwater (where I was brought up)? There's a decent bus service even if it is the wrong side of the city for you. If it is Fairwater, not many shops to tempt you, apart from the chemists, if they are still there. Good luck with that.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... Evening all,
I treated myself to a Lush shower jelly after work today - The Joy of Jelly. It was a complete impulse buy, but apart from Lemslip, I've never used anything by Lush, and I'm beginning to think I'm missing out after all the reviews on this thread! I've decided that once I've finished my body lotions (probably in a year, as I have six bottles left!) then I'll give Dream Cream a try. I was shocked when I saw the price of the Creme Anglais though - is it really £25 for a normal tub?! I wasn't sure if it was a mistake! I quite liked the smell of that too. :eek:0 -

No interview is opposite side of Cardiff - Its just behind Newport Road.
The trouble is the bus station is a 20 min walk from my house (uphill coming home) and then its a 45 min bus journey and then a 10 min walk to the office. Its stupid when you think about it as its a hell of a lot closer to me than the centre of Cardiff but takes twice as long to get there.
The thing is the job itself is better (as not in a call centre) and it will have a hell of a lot more opportunities for me to progress and also the hours being much more normal, although in all honesty Im not holding my breath because I think they are ideally looking for someone who can drive, which of course I cant. They didn't say as such but it did mention on the job role that you would have access to company car and phone so I assume from that I might be expected to drive places to meet clients so that could really let me down
On the subject of buses though  OH needs me to go up to this place in old Cwmbran to get some stuff for him.....thats fine except the damn buses! Around Newport and even to Cardiff you can get the council owned buses (£3 for a day ticket). Except for some stupid reason, despite Cwmbran being 4 miles down the road those buses won't run there and I have to get stagecoach - now stagecoach are an absolute joke, to get litterally 2 miles down the road last time it cost me over £5 return Im sure a taxi would have been cheaper. Im actually dreading the cost it will be this time as its a whole 4 mile away - Probably more like £8.....I just don't know how they can even begin to justify that when cardiff is a good 15+ mile away and is a third of the price :mad:MFW 2020 #111 Offset Balance £69,394.80/ £69,595.11

Sarah and Carolyn - did you get your Benefit stuff from Boots? I think I will be partaking tomorrow! I will need a treat as I have a dentist appointment!
I've UU a pack of Boots Cucumber Facial Wipes. WIBA? Yes, they smell fresh and do the job but I have 5 more packets in the stash. I've also UU a small tube of L'Oreal Derma Genesis Nurturing Day Cream which I've been keeping at work. WIBA? Yes, it suited my skin but I have a stash to go shopping in which I'm looking forward to!
Now, confession time... I took advantage of today's 750 pts Boots promotion. I topped up on my Orange phone with £20 and bought 2 x Sanctuary Foaming Shower Mousse and got the gwp (75ml body wash, 50 ml body scrub, 50 ml body butter and 30 ml hand cream). I used a 25% off shower gel voucher (shame I only had one) and so needed to get another Sanctuary product to qualify for the £10 spend, so got a 50 ml Sensuous Body Souffle. So this was my spend and points haul:
Orange phone top up £20.00
Sanctuary Foaming Shower Mousse £3.82
Sanctuary Foaming Shower Mousse £5.10
Sanctuary Sensuous Body Souffle £2.40
Sanctuary GWP
Points received 128
150 pts (voucher for £20 spend on Orange top up)
750 pts event
So for a £31.32 spend, I got £10.28 back in points. The only disappointing thing was that I used my double points voucher. I knew that I wouldn't get double on the 750 and 150 points but I thought I would have got double points on the £30 spend but in fact I was only given points for the £1.32 over the £30 IYSWIM. I did query it but the assistant said that it was right.0 -

Morning all,
You did well Footymadgal! That's a great haul.I just thought I'd report back on The Joy of Jelly. I used it in the shower this morning and the smell is divine - definitely my fave scent ever! However after I got out of the shower my skin was incredibly dry and slightly flaky in places. I checked the ingredients and the first one is Sodium Laureth Sulfate. I was really surprised and quite disappointed. I think I'll have to alternate this with iFoam, which is lovely and moisturising but with a really synthetic orange scent.

If anyone is planning on buying the Grazia mag to get the Benefit voucher, apparently it is £1 in WH Smith but £1.95 elsewhere.0
