BRAND NEW!!!! *FAN GIRL SCREAM!* I saw them at Brum too! EEEEEE! I love Brand New- I get tickets every time they come to the UK :):). I even met the lead singer but that's a story for another time.

And I do indeed like NFG :):) Excellent taste madam. :D

    ;)

Doesn't look like they are coming over this year :o

I really dislike going to the O2 in Brum - Its toooo flippin hot in there, and the trouble is most of the bands I want to see never go anywhere closer, not even bristol.... I remember when I saw Death Cab for Cutie there and Ben Gibbard's shirt was absolutely dripping :o

So glad NFG are playing Cardiff though and Solus isn't a bad little venue - Saw Underoath and Envy on the Coast there last year, OH bought a Tshirt from the Bass player :p Do tell about Jesse Lacy!!

    NFG -

    August 18th - Cardiff Solus (Tickets £15 + £2 booking fee)

    August 21st - Birmingham 02

August 22nd - Glasgow The Garage

August 23rd - London Electric Ballroom

    August 24th - Brighton Concorde

Not sure if there are many tickets left but it seems some sites are selling them even though advertised as sold out elsewhere. See Tickets said the one for Cardiff was Sold out but TicketLine UK (cardiff based) had tickets left.

Might be best to check direct with the venue if no luck online

Oh my goshhhh! So tempted but i'm skint this month:o Where in Cardiff is Solus? That would be the nearest to me I think. I'll have to go find some friends to buy tickets :rotfl:

I've been really good and not bought any toiletries (apart from toothpaste-does that count??!!) for a whole week...wohoo.

I've had quite a few LUSH use-ups...I had a lot of it in a plastic crate and moved house a few months ago and it has only just emerged. Most of it is soap..I must have about 15 bars assorted sizes!!

Has anyone ever had anything LUSH that has actually gone mouldy?? One of the bars, I think it is a Christmas variety, smells horrible, sort of sweetly mouldy, if that makes sense. I also had a small piece of Honey I washed the Kids that seems to have gone a bit mouldy too, even though they have been stored airtight. Serves me right for having too big a stash.

I hate to chuck away anything LUSH though.

    UUps:

Lush Angels on Bare Skin- lovely but messy, would buy again
    Lush Vanillary perfume- WIBA? maybe
AVON Sassy Swirls Vanilla Bean- this was only £2.50 for a small 15ml bottle (on offer) when I bought it, thats a brilliant price and smells just as nice (in my opinion) as the LUSH vanillary.

My list/stash of various toiletries is already at 60 items and I am no where near finished...anyone any worse than this???

I'm a native Brummy so that's my home venue :):) And Jesse Lacey- basically I was sat outside the venue ( I think it was the carling at the time) and he walked past. He looked like a complete and utter tramp, like REALLY gross and everyone just thought he was just that, a scummy tramp. Anyways, he started talking randomly and everyone was really nervous because they thought this bloke was crazy. However, I recognise him and we were just chatting about the weather and how lovely it was and how cool Brum is etc. Everyone was looking at me like *why is that girl talking to that American tramp like she knows him?*. He had to go in, but later on the support act came out and were like *We know you've been out here for a while, so have something to eat* and they bought me some food out :):). Then during the gig, I was on the front row and whilst the support act was playing, Jesse Lacey was on the balcony and was waving at me. HOW COOL. That was the gig where I broke my rib during the song "The Quiet Things That No-One Ever Knows" AHHH GOOD TIMES :D

I don't know how well you know Cardiff but its basically across the road from the Crown court, Museum etc (only about a 5 min walk away from Cardiff Castle) - Solus is actually Cardiff Uni's SU.

Only place we could see them still on sale was here - used them before with no problems. Only E-tickets avaliable so just have to print a page out.

    *sheepishly edges in*

Hi everyone, apologies - I joined the June challenge and pretty much immediately went awol. Was doing ok, until a slight blip at the weekend in a bout of much needed retail therapy.

Came out of John Lewis with a new Elemis cleanser, toner, and Philosophy Purity cleanser... and possibly a stunned look on my face as I wondered how my bank card jumped out of my wallet like that... :o

So budge up on the naughty step, I think I need to sit and think about what I've done. :rotfl:

(on the flip side, have only been using the Philosophy cleanser for a couple of days but I absolutely adore it!!!)

I now see I have about 25 pages of catching up to do!

This happened last weekend but only just remembered to post - I've still got my Bootsing skill!

Wanted some new face stuff so went into our little local boots and spotted books vitamin 3 things, facewash with exfoliator, moisturising lotion and face wipes (the 3 things I wanted) on 3 for 2 = £5.70 - hard to find exfoliating facewashes but it's what I need ideally.

Paid and got a No7 voucher. OH wanted his 2 No7 for men products so got these and a 3rd as on 3for 2, then got voucher when I paid so used that to get a 2nd tube of the 1 I got 1 of 1st time round so £13 in total for stuff that would cost £30 to buy at full price. I'm pleased I haven't lost it and used it for something good!

Impressed with vitamin E stuff so far, especially considering cost, will see how it goes.

No more UUs or other ins recently - had a Glamour magazine in my hands last week and put it down again as decided I didn't need the products - shocking. I think I may almost be cured!
