VALM forgot to say it's free delivery no matter how much or how little you order! That's why I buy the Pukka stuff from them rather than direct. Pukka Herbs charge full rrp obviously, but they charge for delivery too

I'll have ins tomorrow. I'm in charge of magazine buying for the reception at work. I may have picked up a Harper's Bazaar with the orange polish, though resisted a second High Beam :o Also my sister's BrandAlley order has arrived and I suspect there's a heat spray for me in there :o

Cheers Sawan, I'll bear this site (and yourself) in mind when I come to re-order the cleanser.

How great it is that you get to buy LD lacquer by proxy!!

Charlie - I second its easier to get a job when you already have one

Looking at the Supermodel, does this resemble Nails Inc Cadogan Square??

Liking the look of the Laura Geller mineral foundation (infact extremely tempted) I'm blonde and tend to have rosy complexion, so dont do blushes, do you think the balance and brighten would suit me?

And finally - can you still buy nail polish thinner? I've a couple of bottles that seem a bit cloggy, but reluctant to throw them away...:p

Currently my nails are wearing Orly Plum Noir - its lovely :D

Hi, I think it's easier finding work when you are in a job. I remember when I was out of work feeling really annoyed when asked in an interview what I had been doing "the whole time" since I had lost my job. People who haven't been out of work just don't understand how it feels.

I'm finding that permanent vacancies are really hard to come by as if no-one wants to take a chance on employing anyone anymore. People I work with think I'm mad applying for jobs that pay less than they used to but this is the reality now.

Re: Supermodel. - the Cadogan Square does look similar but IMHO LD lacquers are always more glossy than Nails Inc ones once applied.

If you want to try Balance N' Brighten I'd order it from QVC if I were you so you can return it if it doesn't suit. Some people find that it makes their complexion look orange. My skin is farly light with yellow undertones so I can't compare yours with mine.

Had to have a look at Plum Noir. Looks a lovely colour. I really like vampy purples though.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

    Oh. My. Word.....
This is like re-living my uni drinks night!!
I neglected to mention that this friend of mine that advised me to dump my OH also really leant in for a kiss (several times!)... And he is actually quite hot and REALLY nice and smart!! It took aaaalllllllllll my self restraint to pull away **sigh** lol. He spent most of the night with his arm around me or holding my hand which was nice, able to relax and feel like a person again, lol.

I quite often dont see my OH because a new game has come out that he wants to play etc.

I think the real test is going to be when he gets into his new really erratic shift work and I get a job too **fingers crossed**... If I start seeing him less than I do now (about 36 hrs a week inc 12 hrs sleeping time...) I'm going to have to end it I think... I cant deal with that, it wouldnt be a relationship, it's just s*x....
    xxx

Well it looks like you have other options :p

I actually have a little confession to make, after many months dragged on (and on) with my ex, I arranged to meet up with the bloke who kissed me and well:p...nothing full on but a few things happened iykwim and to be honest I got to the point I didn't even care if my ex found out as I thought it would give him a reason to break up with me

Me and my ex were together 1 week short of 3 years, although in all reality it was probably 2 years longer than it should have dragged on for. The xbox was the bane of my life during that time!

Best moment of my life was when we rowed, he told me to leave. I did. He phoned begging me to come back or its over. I never went back.....

Only you know if its right to keep on with things and thats your decision but maybe its time for a change?

Just to add, Ive been with OH for over 3 years now, of course we have our blips now and again but our relationship feels, well, normal!
(oh and to mention OH isn't the guy from my story. OH is much much yummier -yes I did just say that :p)

OMG email from Occitanne ...sale now on:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
message to self you do not need any more toiletries:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
just bought a Groupon deal for 60% off a meal at a place thta won some Gordon Ramesey competition:)
def no money left for toiletries:rotfl:

still not got my laptop back!

Have looked at the site and I'm going to wait it out. I will only order if I get a 20% off code (usually through the post) and free delivery and they also reduce individual items not just gift sets.

Anyway, another IN. Off ebay - a L'occitane apricot flower body butter balm. I have the vineyard rose one and it is brilliant. I love, love, love the apricot flower scent but it is limited edition and I asked CS at L'occitane if they are getting anymore in stock but they said all their UK stock sold out very quickly. Even tropicanaUK on ebay didn't have any -(I emailed them as well:D). Anyway, QVC sold a set for over £50 - three apricot flower, then a 500ml shea shower cream and a 75ml shea hand cream - but I didn't want these items as I already have the shower cream and want to try a different hand cream next time I need to buy one. So in the end (after a long toiletries quest) I have the soap, body cream and balm in apricot flower for approx. 20% off the RRP. Very happy:T
Spilled quite a bit of nail vanish remover on the living room carpet last night whilst removing my vanish - was really cheesed off a we had a house viewing today but luckily it didn't damage the carpet - so relieved. However, need some more nail vanish remover sooner rather than later - any recommendations?

    Two other UU's :
Sunsense suncream - WIBA - yes! It is made in australia and it is the best sunscreen I have ever used. They do 50ml roll-on bottles which my kids use and take to school -glides on and absorbs quickly and is non-greasy, no awful smell either.
Liz earle hip and thigh gel - WIBA - no! It does nothing - just a nice smelling gel and too pricey for what it is. Pleased I've used it up!

Anyway, off to bed I'm shattererd -will catch up tomorrow - might have a pamper this weekend - anyone else planning a pampering session?

UU- Dove Pomegranate & Lemon Verbena Body Wash. I do like Dove but there are others in the range I prefer so probably WNBA. Onto the Sanctuary Creamy Body Wash.
    - Mitchum Roll On. WBA, but have 2 Nivea, 2 Sure and I've just started a Vaseline one as replacement. I was impressed by Mitchum, it did its job really well and seemed to last for ages.

IN- Loads of bits and bobs from friend's Mum's house. Her Mum is going into residential care (she's 90) so we had a sort out of her place. I left with a bag containing Simple soap, Waitrose Olive & Jojoba soaps (4 pack), 2 packs of those face powder puffs, Avon Treselle shower gel (I have the EDP) and a BS Peppermint Foot Lotion. Oh, and about 5 sachets of Frizz-Ease. All freebies and none were really needed of couse :o

Told him how he makes me feel constantly, and that if he even thought about telling me I was being "over sensitive" and to "man up", I was going to take the weights I had and shove them into his groin so hard he would be over sensitive for the rest of his life...

    *high five*

    :D

I'm glad you got it all out. That last line made me giggle even though it can't have been that funny at the time. Well done for not backing down and giving undeserved apologies.

I hope it works out for you if you want it to.
But on the other hand, you seem like you're strong enough to deal with whatever comes your way so if he's not going to change then you don't need to hang onto something that doesn't make you happy. It must be difficult when you've put a lot into it but maybe it's like hanging onto an old car too long when you should scrap it. It'll just end up costing you more & more money (emotional energy & happiness) in maintaining and fixing it the longer you make it keep going.

Sorry I know I don't know enough about your relationship really so maybe I shouldn't make suggestions like that but I thought I would throw that out there anyway :o

OH informed me this morning he his out of deodrant - never mind the fact I asked him yesterday if he needed anything from town!
Nevermind, I needed to go hand some CVs out in town today anyway so I suppose it doesn't really matter...
Will not be even remotely tempted to buy anything for myself :)

Been looking for jobs online and came across tonnes that sounded like I could do - then I realized they are all the same company just different names - the very same one I turned down a few months ago.... Could have been a bit embarrassing if Id re-applied for that :o

Not heard anything back from this other job yet re: going closer to home but have found a number Im going to try ringing later and see if I can talk to someone about it - actually been thinking its probably easier for me to get the job in Cardiff than Newport because Im only 10mins away from the station but to get to the one in Newport would require a 20min walk to the bus station and then the job is based on an industrial estate kind of in the middle of nowhere whereas at least in Cardiff its in the centre - besides I think I could do the cardiff job better so think Im going to push for that one....

Am also going to email one of OH's friends as I know he works at some finance company and got another of OH's friends a job there so figured I might try my luck....

Sorry to post again so quick BUT

I phone the recuritment line about the job - spoke to a lovely man who sorted everything out for me and said I could apply for either cardiff or newport one but I had to pick. Picked cardiff due to the job being a bit better (customer service rather than claims) and also they are paying more. £700 more than the one in Swansea and £200 more than newport. The £700 more would actually pay for a year's train fare so I wont be just £700 better off than the swansea one but £2500!
Got the assessment now booked for 29th June in Cardiff. YAY!!

Also not goign to town as my dad rang me 30mins ago saying they were on thier way to Weston and did I want to come, So yep Im off to weston super mare now with the folks :)
