Morning all, have an two IN's to confess to. Both magazine freebies, picked up the Leighton Denny Nail varnish in Supermodel. Currently wearing that on fingers, and love it. Also got the Jemma Kidd lipgloss in Coral. Very naughty but nice! xx

I had the same issue with this - Not easy at all! It ended up all over my bathroom and for some reason my back was covered in it too?! This has never happend to me before!

I used the Loreal Sublime Mousse at the weekend and that was fab, soo much easier and no spillage at all.

glad it wasn't just me! Got home last night and OH asked if i'd coloured my hair, not because he'd noticed but because of the mess on the toilet and floor. I thought i'd cleared it up but it must have 'developed' during the day. Thankfully the flushable toilet cleaner wipes cleared most of it, just left a shadow on the plastic seat lid which will fad as i clean it i guess. It's bloomin' annoying though as i need every drop i can get out of a bottle as i have such thick hair.

Is the leighton denny supermodel very similar to the fashion fawn that came with instyle? It looks like it from pics I've seen.

Apologies for being totally off topic but......

I just had a telephone interview which I apparently aced. Been invited for a formal interview now on the 21st.......

Only ickle (well possibly HUGE) problem is the job is in Swansea and I just checked the train prices and I think Im going to have to cancel :(

Why do the only jobs that want to employ me leave me with a HUGE dilemma!

I seriously don't even know what to do know......I cant even afford the train ticket cost for the interview (£30 ) on top of that I just looked and taking into account the salary they just told me (£12k) would leave me little actual take home pay, £10,500 after tax and then another £2500 for a rail card for a year (which I wont even be able to afford so will actually have to proibably get a monthly one which is about 4 x the price per month......) My salary would end up just being enough to pay the bills but never enough to clear my £1600 o/d nor the £1200 I owe family :(

Its not like I don't want the job I would happily accept it but can I really justify such a cost for train fares etc for such a low salaried job when its *possible* I could find one closer, especially when travelling will be a 4hour round trip a day

Sneaking a post in from work

I've been keeping up though unable to post. Unfortunately my head is still aching, but that could be because I'm reluctant to have the regular doses of co-codamol :(

VALM My sister orders her Weleda prodcuts from feelunique.com If you haven't used them I can send you a referral link if you like. You'd get 10% off your first order and I get a £5 voucher. Though the only thing I buy from them is this Triphala (something sister1 introduced me to, she's very much into herbal supplements). I was tempted by a TIGI Catwalk set they have (at cheaper than lookfantastic) but resisting until my stash is down - if ever :o

Charlie I think you should try to get to the interview. It is difficult weighing the pros and cons, but it would be good interview experience at the very least. It might even be like a trigger for other job offers, iykwim?

Alanis, hun, I was so upset to read about your situation (for want of a better word :o). Rant away, we're always here to listen and support, and everybody has given you fantastic advice already so just *hugs* from me.

Thevicster!! Welcome back :) Missed one of my fellow nail addicts!! :D Nails look awesome. I didn't know Primark did the foils. I'll have to pay a visit :D

    UU
Cutex Nourishing Nail Varnish Remover 200ml - wIBA? Yes. I do prefer this one to the sensitive one. Now onto a spluttering sensitive one.

    IN
Andrea Fulerton Trio Smile in a Storm (£7.99)
    I LOVE these polishes!!

This is after applying the lighter colour at the other end:
    IMAG0045.jpg

I also bought an Andrea Fulerton cuticle 'groomer' which I needed and didn't already have - so not an in.

I am however firmly on the naughty step. We all know I didn't need more polish :o

The price in-store said £8.19 but it scanned at £7.99. I also used the survey discount from a previous Superdrug receipt (my first AF polish) and it classed it as own brand, so it was discounted by 25% not 10% as I thought it would be - even better!! I see a possible cycle to increase my collection... :D

This is the thing - I saw the job in Swansea advertised online so applied for that, had an email from them asking me to confirm my mobile number so they could talk to me about the job Id applied for. Annoyingly I went on the website this afternoon and saw a similar job advertised at the same company but one in Newport and one in Cardiff! Ive re-sent off my application for both of these and hoping something may come of that - afterall Ive passed the phone interview part already.....
I actually think I might email them and see what they say about it...

    Frustrating!

I would say in that case definitely call them and explain you would like the job in Swansea, but you have just seen and applied for the jobs advertised which would be closer to you and easier to commute to. Is it very similar job roles (in which case maybe they could do a transfer type-thing maybe) or slightly more different?

Well the write up on all the jobs is the same - what they are looking for in a person etc which is everything I apparently demonstrated in the phone interview I just had....

The jobs themselves are slightly different - the one in Swansea was Inbound sales, the one in Newport Inbound claims and the one in Cardiff seems like Inbound queries.....
All things I could do regardless.....

Ive fired off an email as I can't seem to find a phone number (they rang me from a private no...)

Would seem totally illogical working for a company 50miles away when there is a similar job for the same company going 2 mile down the road, just damn typical they only advertised them after Id already applied for the other job!

EDIT: OH home from work so I had a chat with him about the situation and we have a sort of plan if I don't hear anything in regards to getting a position closer to home.... Firstly he said I need to check the financial situation of taking the job (already done!) and we agreed that although it isn't ideal my best bet is to probably take it if offered (as long as they dont do a Yes Loans on me and tell me at interview its a 60hr week :o) but...
    A) continue looking for a job elsewhere
    B) Make it well known that if a transfer opportunity were to arise I would be interested
    C) seeing as the job is for an insurance company see about the cost of me getting insurance on his car - he'll begin teaching me to drive and Ill finally manage to get out of this damn hole - So many jobs I can do except they require a driving license
