Alanis, put some white pepper in his underpants, drop his dinner in his lap and accidently give his three favourite garments to a charity shops.

When he gets upset, tell him to 'man up'. And tidy up after himself. Sorry honey, but that sounds awful, I am surprised you didn't throw something at him! If he wants the bed to be made all the time, he can damn well do it himself. :) Next time, just leave it, and tell him you'll get round to it. If he starts whining, tell him he can straighten it up while you have a cup of tea if it bothers him so much....

If you are having nightmares about the incident, do try talking about it with someone - each repeat of it will lessent he impact of it, and take away its power to upset you.

    Good luck

  • Haven't been on here for ages... too ashamed of my growing TBS stash! My mam was down at the weekend and brought all the stuff I'd ordered and had sent home - I could open a shop with all the stuff I've accumulated  It's now piled up under my desk where I am forced to stare at it and remind myself how bad I've been. I am determined not to obtain anything else (except my £5 birthday credit in July) this summer at least!

Alanis, that sounds absolutely horrible. I get the Tube every day and I always worry about potentially seeing something like that. Sounds terrible. I agree with the others, maybe counselling would be a good idea.

Sawan, hope you are recovering. My mam gets migraines, they're awful.

    Happy belated birthday Sarah!

    Afternoon ladies :D

Thanks again for all the birthday wishes - and thanks to mcculloch for those lovely words - they really made me smile to read :D

Unfortunately the heavens opened which put a dampener ;) on our itinerary but I had a fab day. We met my BFF for a drink and he was still .... well lets call it 'merry' :rotfl:.... from the night before so he had us in stitches with his stories. We decided not to go to the pictures and were going to look round the International Food Festival instead and get something exotic to eat but it was raining so hard neither of us could see through our glasses so we just came home. A few IN's which I'll post at the end :D

Alanis - you DO deserve better honey. I know nobody wants to hear that they should think about leaving their partner but sometimes it is for the best. You have a lot to deal with anyway with the CFS - and I know how soul destroying that on it's own can be :( - but your self-esteem will only suffer if you stay with someone who doesn't help you build it back up. Maybe it's time for one of those big sit down serious conversations which nobody likes and to explain to him what he does and how it makes you feel. Maybe he genuinely isn't aware. But once he is aware ... and if it continues .... you need to think about you. After all you said that when he tells you things he doesn't like you try to change them - surely he should do the same?

As for the lady and the train - maybe you should consider talking to the police about what you saw? They maybe able to help you with a Trauma Counsellor to talk it over with which could help?

Charlie - good luck with your Nan - it's a very brave thing to do.

    hug_coupon.jpg

Hugs for those who want one - cut it out and DEMAND a hug from someone you love :A

EH - I can recommend the SD Hand Balm - costs about 79/99p and is nice and moisturising - rather like the Gok Hand Balm which I really rate :D

onto those IN's - all Free from voucher's and birthday money :j

    BS Rainforest Hair Butter Mini
    BS Shea Lip Butter
    BS Hemp Lip Protector

I still have a BS voucher left so am going back this week to get 3 more Hair Butter while it's on 3for2. I got a stamp on my LYB card but because I used a voucher they stamped the 5th not the 4th as apparently you can't get your gifts if you use a voucher :( I can get it stamped next time though so I haven't lost out :)

    Have a good day

Thanks for all the advice and support guys, just trying to keep myself busy at the moment redesigning/redoing my room, going to the gym etc. I had a fantastic night out on Thursday for my friends art show and uni drinks so I keep looking at the pictures to cheer myself up. As such, feeling a tad better today...

I'm not really one for counselling, I like to divulge what I like, I dont like being questioned as I feel like I'm being forced to expose myself, hence why I dont want to go to the police. Yes I'm slightly neurotic =[

Started to stand up for myself with my OH, noticed he backs down when he knows I'm right, think he just likes aking the mick.... Next time I see him, I think we need a chat.... I'm not going to walk on eggshells with him any more, and if he doesnt like it then tough, I guess we're not meant to be... I'm tired of always compromising my life to make sure we stay together.

    On topic...
I bought Glamour with the freebie Benetint, despite the lead and arsenic levels, I couldnt resist. We only live once eh?

    Afternoon...
Just popping in to catch up with everyone :)

Nothing really to add apart from a bit of a rant....

Found out this morning that the council are going to be replacing all our wheelie bins with much smaller ones to 'encourage recycling' what a flippin joke! They collect the rubbish once a fortnight as it as and our bin is always full - its not even like we don't recycle, we recycle what we are allowed to but the council will only take cans and jars and thats it! Bit of a joke......

On the job hunt this afternoon, well more a case of trying to mess around on Indesign to finish my CV - OH insisted that the word templates were absolute carp and so he designed a CV for me, just got to figure out save it now in a different format and I can actually begin to send it off....hey ho

I have to ask - What the hell is wrong with people these days? I live in a not so bad part of town and have a nice little community up here with a pub and a few shops etc. We have a premier stores just down the road from my house, local store for all the little essentials - went down there this morning to get some bread and there was a big van outside replacing all the windows - turns out someone threw a petrol bomb through the window  it was caught on cctv so hopefully they'll catch the sod! I imagine it couldn't have been anyone from our area but even still some people

Alanis my love, next time he tells you to make the bed for him tell him to "man up and live with it" or do it himself!

Like your friend, I'm kind of appalled by what you've told us and unless you have an enormous list of positives that outweigh what you've posted, I think you need to think hard about whether this is the guy you want to marry and have a family with (especially as you know know that all the work of having children will be your job and all the fun will be his!)

Sorry for the Mum-like nagging. :o

I've told my daughter she's only allowed to marry Josh Groban or Andrew Garfield unless she meets somebody even nicer. :D

I'm so sorry you saw what you saw. :(

I did indeed have an IN (or more!) today :o. Went to Boots, used the points voucher machine and it had one for a free No 17 under eye concealor if you bought anything else from the No 17 range. So wandered to look at their normal concealor. Thought I may as well try one, especially as I'd get free under eye one too. Then realised the whole range was 342, so thought I'd try and see if I could get 342 and the voucher to work. My 3rd item was No 17's silver crackle (more a pewter colour, but still fab!). And it worked :j. I also for some reason get the Over 60's 10% discount (I am 29 :rotfl:, and have checked my DOB on the card is correct). So got all 3 items for grand total of £3.59 :j:jVery pleased with that!

Also got 4 packs of baby wipes in Morrisons for £3 as I'm out of wipes

    Hi everyone,
    4 UUs for me:
Nivea Fragrance Free Essentials wipes-(Facebook freebie a while ago). WIBA? They are good wipes, perhaps a little dryer than others (maybe just my pack?) I would buy the ordinary fragranced ones, they smell lovely.
Soap and Glory Clean on Me giant 500ml shower gel. WIBA? Lasted forever, like the pump bottle, so yes if it was on offer I would. (Mine was in the shower for so long, the water eventually got into the bottle and went a bit watery-so I had more! Used the last bits as bubble bath, lovely!
Garnier Body Cocoon Lotion-WIBA? Yes, smells delicious, sad its gone. Don't know if they make it anymore though.
1 more M&S Bath Salts-WIBA? If given in a gift set I wouldn't mind, probably wouldn't buy them though. :)

    Some naughty INs though.
1x Benetint and 1x Posietint-were planned for a long time! One was free (giftcard)! I like the posietint, might get another if I see one.
1x mini Pro-age Dove shampoo and 1x mini Pro-age Dove Cream oil. Newspaper freebies-both for 40p. Didn't realise it was Pro-age stuff before I went for it though, using the cream anyway, lovely and thick! I will give the shampoo to mum-does this count as an IN? :o
1x Nivea Harmony Time shower gel-Saw this in £land-smells delicious, couldn't resist.

I adore Supermodel and own 3 bottles just in case there is a War and I can't buy it anymore - you all understand I'm sure lol :rotfl: Still pretty impressed that I haven't bought the mag!

Eek yes I can totally understand...I bought 3 copies of the magazine today so now have 3 INs...Leighton Denny Supermodel x2 and Leighton Denny Viva La Diva x1.

Yes that's right I bought 2 of the same colour and I've not even tried it yet

I'm now going to have a clear out of my old nail varnishes and see which need throwing out!
