Hi, just a quick post and run...
Bargainbetty - well done on doing so well on this challenge, feel we are all making progress this month.
Two UU's TBS 50ml Moringa BB -WNBA a bit to strong a smell but nice to use on my feet
Also, Balm Balm Rose Geranium lip balm -WNBA - didn't like it as a lip balm but got used up on knees, elbows and feet. Got a Tea tree balm balm to use up still and an Guerlain idylle body lotion on the go. Should use these up in the next week.
Got to run ....bye0 -
well.....a week or so into June and I'm not doing very well.
Just got back from a short break and ended up being tempted into buying perfume on the plane on the way out (I'd not taken any and gave into temptation) - Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau so Fresh...which is a very nice light scent.......then had some euros left on the way back and bought Jimmy Choo perfume.....wow..its lovely.
UU- Estee Lauder Sensuous - very nice but more of an evening scent for me. I would definately buy again.
Also went into TK Maxx to look for some sandals for DD- didnt get any sandals but came out with a bath set.......shower gel, lotion and a sort of light body cologne......allegedly worth £50...Fitzherbert and Prince/Cotton Lavender...never heard of the brand before but it smells gorgeous, it was a tenner for the set so I justified it to myself as it works out at only 3.3333 recurring for each item!
Am I never going to get any self control????
My challenge now is to NOT BUY ANYTHING ELSE FOR THE REST OF JUNE. Help me get some self control!!!!!
Even after using up some cheaper items I still have added to my stash. Grrrr.0 -
Thank you SavvyBunny, tbh a lot of those were just hanging on and only had a little left in the bottles, I have a bunch more like that, that will be finished this month! :j
Thank you Sarah*a and SJP. I'm quite excited, so far this is I believe is my dream job!
I'm looking forward to the Glamour Benefit tomorrow, I have a couple of gift cards, so I hopefully (if they are in Boots and WHSmith) I will get the 2 i'm after for £0! and supposedly theres a free dove shampoo and body cream oil (pickup at SemiChem) with the Daily Record, If I get up early enough I should get them for a bargain 35p.
That's the only toiletries for the month, unless more baragins appear.0 -
l: I think i'd want at least £40 a day for having hairy legs in June/July!
Wish I'd got that mail! Since I got cellulitis 10 years ago, very little hair has grown on my legs. Because swollen ankles aren't a pretty sight, I'm covered up with long skirts or trousers unless it's a real heatwave.
As I'm in Co. Durham, we tend not to get those.
Haven't read all the posts yet, hugs to all who need, but particularly Sawan.
I'm diligently applying the mystery test body lotion, slathered on too much yesterday and my skin was a bit sticky. I applied it more carefully today. I've not gone off it, but I'm less enthusiastic.
My daughter bought me a very welcome belated b'day present of Aldi Lacura 5% Urea body wash. I'm dying to try it out but want to actually stick with the same shower cream whilst I am testing the lotion (OS Shea and Honey). The Aldi wash is in a pump bottle, very MSE.
DD is rather good at cutting hair so she's done that for me, it's the shortest it's been for many a long day - c. 18 years since it was shorter -it's now a bob that just covers my ears. Which means shampoos and conditioners will last even longer....
Foot balm is spluttering. Think it was xoxo who was asking about this, would advise steering clear of Baylis and Harding..
Re degrees. I did my BA in Post - Compulsory Education 5/6 years ago, part -time. I got a 2.2, chiefly due to my dissertation being rather lightweight, but I just didn't have the time or resources to choose something more academically robust, as I also did my literacy tutor's specialism course at the same time. I wasn't planning on doing a Master's so that's fine, a 2.1 would have been nice but it didn't happen.
The 2.2 (aka ' a Desmond' ) has opened the doors it needed to open. A third would have done just as well. Good luck to all who are waiting.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Well got back from town as was largely good, very nearly ended up with a bundle of magazines with freebies in though, but ended up with just the one and before I get put on the naughty step it was ELLE with the t-shirt
Not that I really needed it and Ive never read Elle in my life but figured for the price as a Tshirt alone it wasn't so bad, besides 1) bought it from Tesco so got clubcard points and 2) I got paid a bit from some surveys so technically free anyway.
Feeling a bit smug actually with all the coupon cutting Ive been doing lately, mainly from Supersavyme but if anyone here knows of any other places with printable coupons for groceries/household stuff I would be very gratefulMFW 2020 #111 Offset Balance £69,394.80/ £69,595.11

Is it bad that I want all 3 Glamour freebies?? And that I'll be going bright ad early to the shops to get them?? Haha
Also... I have a dilemma
It's my end of uni drinks tomorrow and I dont know what to wear, I have 6 (I think) dresses that are possibles but I feel like I look like a broad side of a barn in all of them!! All my uni friends are like size 6 and I'm a 12/14 =[ I've taken pictures and showed my friends, but no one can decide =[

Edit; I've just seen this in reviews!! http://www.makeupalley.com/product/showreview.asp/ItemId=711/Benetint/BeneFit/Blush
" Definitely not using again after reading this:
"The product containing the highest level of lead was Benefit’s Benetint lip gloss at 110 ppm, more than 10 times higher than the 10 ppm limit set out in the Health Canada Draft Guidance on Heavy Metal Impurities in Cosmetics. This same product contained 70 ppm of arsenic, which is more than 20 times higher than Health Canada’s recommended limit of 3 ppm."

Sawan - I do hope you have recovered by now. I have had migraines since as was 10ish but I wasn't diagnosed correctly until I was 23 years old. It started with visual distortion in one eye - I just could see properly, sometimes I would get blotches followed by a haloing effect around my field of vision. Next I would start to get an intense sore head, break out into a cold sweat and feel my central nervous system begin to break down (not is control of my body and shaking a lot). Then the nausea and inevitable vomiting would begin. I then tended to pass out!!! I would wake up 3-5 hours latter feeling as if my body had been run over with a steam roller. Spent the next 2 days in recovery - still shaking and unable to eat. The sore head still lingered but gradually eased. Mine's got so violent and frequent (after the death of my father I was taking 2-3 a week) I finally got a great GP who put me on a daily anti migraine medication and acute migraine medication for during an attack. I haven't had one in five months and it is well controlled now. I hope that this was a one off for you but if not discuss it with your GP to look for triggers etc.
Sorry for the essay.rosemary54 wrote: »my GP put me on a low dose anti depressant for migraines, thye can be caused by wrong serotin(? spelling) levels in the brain, you need to be on them a few months but they worked for me,I used to get headaches that lasted 3 days and nothing would help so I do understand, hope you get better soonbargainbetty wrote: »Hi all,
Just a note for the migraine sufferers - I used to get them really badly, and it turned out I had a combination of food intolerances. Red wine and chocolate, cheese (or meat rennet) and red wine, combos would leave me with a migraine. I made sure I didn't mix them for a couple of months and it went away.
Kaz I know I should really have gone to the GP by now, but it always takes so many visits for them to find what's wrong! I've got what I now know is an extra little bone in my foot (accessory navicular (sp?)) which is what gives me grief and pain when walking. It took 6 visits over a year to find that out  The solution to everything seems to be painkillers
How's your day going? I hope you get some rest soon hun *hugs*
Oh Fiasco that sounds awful, I'm glad it's been sorted out hopefully.
I'm feeling a bit better. Ventured out today then regretted itIt's like such a pain on the left side of my head. Dad's friend who's a doctor was visiting at work and said it does sound like a migraine but is odd I've had it so long. Told me to go see my GP if I'm not feeling better tomorrow. I just feel so nauseous with it. And intermittently I feel like there's a huge pressure build-up that's going to go *BOOM*
Rosemary Thank you, I'll ask the doctor about that if I do force myself to go tomorrow or Friday.
Bargainbetty I don't even drinkI haven't really eaten chocolate or cheese recently as trying to lose weight. Felt a bit feverish last night. A bit of energy in me today, but ran home from work after going in for two hours and doing nothing!
SJP How's Immy Lou? I do hope she's feeling better *hugs*
Sarah I am so glad that worked for you! It sounds odd as you think it would be harder to sleep, but for some reason it does make me drowsy!
Mcculloch Thank you so much for the hugs, they are needed and definitely appreciated
I remember my degree, graduated in 2003 (). I got a 2:2 in my Maths (2 years) and 2:1 in Management (final year). Although Management thought I was awesome and I was borderline, Maths refused to push me up to a 2:2. However, it's one of the top three universities, and even now people are [STRIKE]shocked as hell [/STRIKE]surprised I chose to work in the family business.
Alanis I agree with Kaz, wear whatever you're most comfortable in
I only want the Moonbeam from G. Has anybody else seen the Leighton Denny polshes with Harpar's Bazaar? So tempted by the orange :eek:
ETA Sorry for the essay
UU
Lush Magic Mushroom: WIBA? Yes. But it's a Valentine's special. I normally stretch them to three baths, but was miserable and greedy last night so used 2/3rds in one go :rotfl:

Sawan, please go to see your GP. Please, get him to check your blood pressure too. They may refer you on to get an eye test but don't just leave it especially if you're still not well.
