Jamesh i think if it had been written by a Newie i may have had second thoughts, but the Op has been here a long time and made a lot of posts. I prefer to think most people tell the truth.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

Who is knocking people for signing a petition against abuse? I think you worded that wrongly. The poster commented to that the petition needs to be re-wrote in the hopes it can get taken seriously. I agree.
For such an emotive subject, putting it together properly would get more people to give it the time of day I am afraid.
Edited to add: Ah I see what you mean about the posters "Zero sense" comment, sorry. Though I don't read it like that.0 -
it is a true story , her mum always writes in text, her mum is very hurt and angry which i know i would be0

I didn't word anything wrongly - "Whoever wrote that can't expect it be taken seriously, anyone who signs that is just as bad" < I see that as knocking those that signed a petition against abuse.0

Where does the peition go once it has lots of signatures? Be honest, do you think the likes of the powers that be would take a text rant that landed on their desk seriously?
I feel awful even saying this about such a horrible situation but it would help the family more if it could be taken seriously, I am in the kids corner and just think it may have more of an impact if rewrote maybe. At the moment it looks like one of those things that go around facebook as a "zomg...check this out"
I am a huge supporter for survivors of all kinds of abuse and know that to get results every base has to be covered

I have no trouble with the story or believing it to be true. I was only trying to indicate the futile nature of signing something with no obvious objective, there is a time for text speak and writing official petitions you hope will change something is really not the place.
When signing a petition you are not just liking a page on facebook.
This petition could be a good idea, but needs some form of objective behind it, resignation of the Judge or a public review something tangible rather then just a bunch of people agreeing they don't like child abuse.
I'm sorry if I came across in an unfair way in my initial reply.0 -

Okay - let's be uber helpful and criticise the mother of the abused children for writing such an incoherent piece of dirge.
Seeing as you know every base has to be covered and you feel it is written that badly - offer to rewrite it for her.0 -
i agree wording could be better but try to concontrate on the point, we carnt let this happen and we are all responsible for reporting abuse etc trust me i have no probs ringing ss if it was need she is going to take further i think shes got the back up of our mp , but i willl help in anyway because all kids should be protected from abusers im just hoping that everytime she goes for a job in chilcare they do a advance crb on her i hope it picks this up0

Okay, so I am detecting a bit of sarcasm here
No where am I criticising the mum of these poor kids, please don't put words in my mouth. I can totally understand her anger and emotions. She must of been living a pure hell knowing her kids went through that and I am sure her heart will be sore over it for the rest of her days. So please as I said, do not put words in my mouth.
Its all well and good typing your name, pressing send then feeling all warm and fluffly because you "did your bit"....to REALLY get things changed noticed, talked about and out there, something like this has to read more then a text rant. Its more then just recoiling in horror just before you hit close on the top of your screen. I am sorry if you think I am being harsh, I am just saying it how it is.
I couldn't offer as my grammar is awful!
I do though think the story is heartbreaking and I have no idea what that Judge is playing at!?!0 -

Okay.
Maybe the mother only knows how to write in text speak - which is quite possible these days - particularly if she is a young mum.
The internet is a powerful forum and people shouldn't just be taken seriously if they have the ability to use grammar and punctuation.
Hopefully the media or the such like will pick up on this story - I agree this story needs as much coverage as possible and is more likely to cross barriers if written in a reasonable standard of English but I don't think mum's efforts or those signing the petition should be denigrated.
However, if you wish to slander/abuse/gramatically beat up/slur/insult that judge or the two teen child abusers - denigrate away.0
