What help might an online petition provide? The court has sentenced those two and that's the end of it as far as the law is concerned.

If they were my children who had been harmed by them I would be using my energy on finding a way to mete out a different, more appropriate form of justice

No it isn't the end of it as far as the law is concerned - But it will be if we let it lie and say nothing. We do still have people power in this country and the more people that sign it, the more likey the media will take notice and then hopefully parliament.

However, I can't help but think if the baby sitter was dumpy and ugly rather than an attractive young girl, the sentence would have been steeper.

Its an awful story :( Really horrible. My heart does go out to those kids.

That petition though looks like a rant in a text on an phone or something?! The text speak and grammar ( I am SO not perfect at grammar lol!) in the petition means its pretty hard to take it seriously. Sorry :( For something so emotive, it really could of been put together better.

Where does the petition go once it has lots of signatures?

Ok a petition may not help the kids but maybe, just maybe someone may delve into the history of that Judge and see is he better suited to a different job.

Whoever wrote that can't expect it be taken seriously, anyone who signs that is just as bad it makes zero sense.

They need to delete it and start again if they want it to be taken seriously.

I take those photographs of abused children very seriously. To knock people for signing a petition that hopes to change the law to prevent future abuse is the only zero sense thing I can see.
