£42.58 spent this week. Signature done. I've bought a few of the £2 Anchor butter blocks from A$da and have stashed them in the freezer ready for winter baking. Slimming world is indeed doable cheaply. As Hex says, any fat free yogurt is acceptable.0

Hi everyone
Managed to get the £20 off a £40 shop at Ocado in time, so I have a delivery on Weds and have done a weekly shop this weekend. My spends now come to £211.35 and I'm hoping that I won't need to get anything else
Not going to declare just yet, but I'm well happy at how the budget is coming along, especially as I haven't been meal planning (too tired with baby due in less than three weeks!!).
Am stocked up with loads of nappies for DD2 and new baby, dishwasher tabs, toilet roll and washing liquid (for clothes!) so next month should be quite cheap. Am going to go for £200 for July please MrsM and keep- fingers crossed that the new littlie won't make a massive dent in my plansPart time GCer, NSDer, Comper and (Bad)FlyladyA big shot is just a little shot that kept shooting ...0 -
MrsM, Please could you put me down for £200 target again.
I am over again this month but getting closer to the target every time. One day I will make it0 -
That's me declaring at £61.72 for June. We are away on Tuesday until the middle of July for a well-earned slice of sunshine and pampering. I've been using up all the bits and bobs and nothing will be wasted as will give to the neighbours or freeze fridge contents. When I get back I will go on a July target of £55.00 but I must point out that I have M& S and Farmfood vouchers I can use to supplement this if necessary. Now I have no children in the house and no pets either the grocery shopping has become quite achievable as long as I shop sensibly and put a bit of preparation into it - it's easier when you haven't got family to feed, I know. Or drag round the supermarkets whinging and moaning. I feel sorry for those people who have nowhere to go on cutting their budget - it must be frightening. I watched Brassed Off again last night and it always was a wonderful film, but now things are almost back for square one for the sort of working class families portrayed if they lose their job or can't cope with existing debt. Once the interest rate rises, and as sure as eggs are eggs it will, then whole swathes of the population will succumb to the consequences. I hope you all manage to live within less than your means because it gives you the tools to get over this bad stage in our economy.Solar Suntellite 250 x16 4kW Afore 3600TL dual 2KW E 2KW W no shade, DN15 March 14

Hi everyone,
Not doing too badly, i'm about £100 over where I should be in my annual budget. I'm going to try not to spend anything this week, and wait until next weekend and do a really big shop. It may mean the menu plan goes out of the window, but I've got lots of food in the freezer and in the cupboards, so I need to make do.
Have a good week everyone x2025 G/C Jan £264.82, Feb £249.68. Mar £372.66. Apr. £326.19. May £321.01. June £296.18 July £354.56. August £22.55. Nectar - Morrison’s - £ £ Boots - £3.63 Asda Rewards - £ Tesco - £0 -
I'm so glad that the month is near the end, as we are very close to our limit, but hopefully I won't need much before the end of the month, and as I'm busy working and helping my dad to move into his retirement flat this week, I won't have time to go shopping anyway, so hopefully we'll make it.
Spent £1.35 on milk in the local shop, £8.80 in Mr A's yesterday, and today we spent £6.12 in Mr S and £1.78 in Savers.Weight loss challenge 2/10lbs

Morning all
Well I'm afraid I totally took my eye off the ball this month and am now £101.62 over. Rubbish
Too many takeaways, too much junk, not enough planning.
Today I'm going to make a plan as to how I can spend as little as possible over the next 4 days (yes I know it's too late!!) and really think how I'm going to tackle July, holidays and all.
I do actually always struggle with what cheap summer food I can make, much prefer making stews etc!
One issue I'm pondering is the matter of junk food and who buys it.
Me and OH are trying to lose some weight, mainly by cutting out junk and having 3 sane meals a day + fruit. So I'm stopping buying packets of biscuits etc but the kids are complaining (even though it'll do them good as well!).
I thought about letting them buy their own junk with their own money, something I've always discouraged before now, in the hope that they'll realise they don't want to spend their money that way. (And it would save me money on my GC:D!)
But I don't want them buying/eating loads of rubbish either!
Am I being mean in not buying them treats?
What do other people do?
(They are 16,15 and 12 BTW).
Hope everybody had a good weekendAugust Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.0
