I cant remember but it was 1993, and Voda & o2(BT Cellnet) were the choice and Vodafone sold a contract to a 16 year old and it was £17.50 a month for nothing and calls were 80p a minute to standard landlines or mobiles.
SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe ;)

Me and my brother got the same phone at christmas with numbers one digit apart.. that wouldnt happen now..

Christ knows why our mum bought us phones none of our friends had them :rotfl: think it must have been some bogof offer in the shop.. she was tight like that :p

But for a short time we were the 'cool' kids, shame we had to wear braces to stop our trousers falling down with that brick in our pockets.

Best bit about the phone? it helped me get my first kiss  the girl in question was mighty impressed that I could afford a phone.. we lived on a very poor council estate at the time..

Current phone HTC Desire.. how times change in a *cough* few years

    edit..
Well bug*er me with a broomstick, I cant believe somebody paid £25 for one a week ago

This was my first mobile, on Orange Just Talk in 1997 :D I carried it about in an orange plastic pencil case with handles :rotfl: I got shot of it in 1999 when I went to uni and got my first contract, which came with a Nokia 5110 (or nk402 as Orange called it)
Current phones are an HTC Desire HD (when it works :rotfl:) and a Sony Ericsson Cedar. I've had so many phones since my first one... :rotfl:

Lol! I had one from Vodaphone in 1999, it was by Siemans but cannot remember the name/code it had, I had to look hard for a handset few others had as everyone had a Nokia and being like everyone else was not my thing! My sister had the predecessor to the Nokia 3310 and was only 14 at the time!

Motorola 4800 brick was my first mobile phone. Can't believe I've had one just short of 20 years.
I had the 4800 "transportable" as well, battery pack the same size as the transceiver unit and £1.50 per minute to make a call.
They also had the ability to snatch other mobile users details (phone number & IMEI), store them, and then let you make a call using that persons account.

I started using a mobile phone in 2003. My first phone was a Nokia 6610. It wasn't as bad actually as some of the earlier brick phones and in fact was rather sleek and light weight. However was good enough only for calls and messages which was all that phones were supposed to do in those days.

I next switched to Nokia 6600 in 2006. For some reason stuck around with that for nearly 4 years and next got a Samsung S5560 in 2010.

But finally got into the groove last week and got a shiny Samsung Galaxy S2 :j !!

    Am selling my S5560 for £31 (26 + £4.9 cashback) through Speedsell.
