Flying visit to report number 6, had an urge to buy something today, anything would have done, but totally ignored it & feel so much better for it now.
This is going to sound mad, but finishing work early & living so close (i finish at 4 & am home at 10 past) doesn't seem to be good for me. I feel a bit adrift alot of the time as it's too early to settle in for the evening, there's currently no DIY in progress to distract me & i think that's where the urge to go shopping comes in, just to be out & about... i have to find something more constructive to do than an afternoon nap, all suggestions gratefully received!! (unless it involves Hubert or Igor, Nargle take note :rotfl::rotfl:)
How about a chance to catch up on some cooking? Perhaps some batch cooking one day and a bit of home baking the next day (Igor can provide recipies if you're stuck :rotfl::rotfl:)Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Ooh nasturtiums, now there's a thought, thats the one thing i don't have in my newly renovated veggie patch, Nargle i shall grow some & think of you!!
However, you are looking for suggestions - how about a bit of major decluttering and (late) spring cleaning?
Mucking out the food cupboards, getting rid of stuff that's past it, doing some serious meal-planning with what's left?
Getting out into the garden and planting something edible?
Emptying your wardrobe, sorting out the winter clothes and putting them away, then arranging all your summer gear into different colours in the wardrobe (yes, I know, very OCD and all that, but quite satisfying)
Or simply lying on the sofa and watching afternoon telly - stuff like Coach Trip, Location x 3, Come Dine With Me, Countdown....or some really old film. Nowt wrong with a bit of self indulgence now and then. How about a chance to catch up on some cooking? Perhaps some batch cooking one day and a bit of home baking the next day (Igor can provide recipies if you're stuck :rotfl::rotfl:)
Ahh thanks guys you're great!! The problem is, being slightly anal i declutter all the time (it's normally my Saturday whilst listening to the football job) & batch cook every time i cook dinner from scratch (although i'm trying not to fill the freezer to bursting following it's recent defrosting) & i daren't bake or i'd just eat it all (not good for the waistline :rotfl:)
really i think i should take up running round the local park, i just need Spoon's kick up the bum smiley on a regular basis!! Either that or it's time to find myself a fella so the long evenings alone don't seem quite so unappealing....
God i sound like a miserable moo don't i? Maybe i should just be more grateful that i have the time to laze in front of afternoon tellyFebruary NSD challenge 5/150 -
My fave is a chicken caesar wrap, yum, yum.....Confined to barracks this morning as the new suite is coming!!!YAY!
Last night was spent getting the old stuff out/uplifted so I am currently sitting on a camping chair.
However, I am looking forward to lying back on my reclining sofa tonight. I am SO excited ( can you tell?)
Hoping for a NSD today as I am not going anywhere ( at least I have no plans at the minute)
Have a lovely day everyone!:)
YAY!!!! indeed, really pleased for you, hope you had a lovely reclining evening xx

I know what you mean about getting in from work early, BDINI, I used to do that and felt at a bit of a loose end.
You’ve mentioned two older people you go to the pub with on Monday evenings, do they have a garden, could you give them a hand and grow some more veg?
Go out for a walk or a run when the weather’s good (my bum kicking smiley is around if you need some inspiration, maybe ask around and see if anyone wants to go running at the same time for some company.
Sit in the garden with a book if it’s a nice evening.
Take up a hobby, maybe making birthday cards/Christmas (oops that word again:o) cards, presents....
Allotment? are there there any near you, would someone be willing to share one with you?
And no, you don't sound like a miserable moo, far from it.
(((hugs)))
