  • Morning everyone.

In to report number 4 today-unfortunately this week has been a bit spendy :(. I must confess I have worshipped at the temple of Chanel and bought a new nailvarnish for the first time in about 2 years. Feeling incredibly guilty, but I'm trying to get back to spending, but not losing control, to try and adapt to my debt free self come september. 4 more pay days to go.
I would ENJOY it RELISH it etc.:beer::beer::money:
If I got Kiehls, Aveda, Dr Haushaka, Space NK, Jo Malone, etc at dirt cheap price/s I would be delighted. ENJOY. Perhaps one needs NOT to be wracked with guilt over luxuries regardless of income status and society regard thereoff.
I am on a low fixed and persecuted marginalised misunderstood misrepresented income. But were I to nab great place to live, with or without man, great toiletries, great books, etc great Theatre, Ed Fest, The Barbican . some monstrously High Ups Do, ( my life has all sorts in it from Media types to long term alcoholics and addicts all with pride in them and nice to boot0 I would rejoice.
Perhaps I had better append signiture with BARGAIN DELIGHT to add to a hopefully growing pile of Challenges which one learns to live up too .
Nabbing what works, what does it it for you is just as important as really adopting lifestyle changes that I need to adopt like me and Mother nature forming a really deep lifelong friendship/love affair/marriage and el cheapo activities like walking everywhere (surviving bankrupcy thread MSE). Perhaps a little indulgence goes a long way and NOT taking the crap at bargain prices is part of what it means to aspire to Money Expert Saving-Dom. My two pence or two billion pounds worth!:)
NB I have no desire to be stumbling block to anyone. But I do realise War is being waged against the Welfare state that we all like to have but think we hate till we need it and the life style thing comes into play with assertion of rights to determine life as you see fit cos it works!!
peace love and blessings to all in this wonderful confessional.xx

  • Same rationale can be applied to Chanel (clothes) got T shirt!!!! Burberry (got two macs!!! one I gave or threw away from wear?) Joseph (ignorant old ladies are so obliging) or as I plan Christian Louboutins (good for wide feet!!!!!) going at £65 must do this as a new thing!!!) Comfortable FASHIONABLE shoes that aint those monstrosities sold in dowdy frumps catalogues is the order of the day. (prepares for artillery) but comfy trendy shoes= winner. Walk in them and be happy. even if out of trend. Or nabbing Kitchenaid (hmmm) making ones own Pizza oven,(yay), underfloor heating( if you need to make sure house is properly heated and you can fix it good on you, Landlord will thank you both Pizza oven and underfloor heating transfer to next house). Agas' etc . Magimix (might as well go Pro you know as long term user of must revive).
No way will I be drab etc. Poverty can mean style, function etc bon vivient. If I had children I am sure I would cut down ambitions but..Meat for one poison for another, but please God we all make a difference and helpful influence is part of the MSE Aspirants plan. Career planning ditto nice expensive university, glorious academic books (more useful than you know precious). Stuff to last me rest of life. Spend well. If poundland wilkos etc can do it no shame in going there either. I will nab anywhere. blessings to all

Well I am very pleased to announce another NSD, taking me to NSD 5 Wahoooooooo!
Although to be honest it's not been easy today. I've hurt my back and am off sick for 2 weeks and very bored. Saw the physio this morning, then twanged my back again this eve taking DD2 out the bath. Although this meant I didn't pop to the shop for goodies to keep me occupied till OH got in from work! Every cloud eh? L2B.x

beanielou sounds like your teenage son is in the doghouse big time i hope he listens to you, mine only seem to listen when i stop getting food or if they are after a couple of £s however much they try that this week it won't work, weve only got 4 weeks to get the house sorted (too much stuff apparantly )or we might loose it we've been here 26 years and 3rd son was born in this house so i really don't want to move out yep there are good memories and bad but i try not to think about the bad ones
if you find a way to get your son to understand why we all do this please share i will be most gratefull thanks for your understanding

Muffin Man~Why might you loose your house?
My DS is just living in a bubble & sometimes doesent think of other people.
I do struggle sometimes because of my disability & he just leaves a stream of chaos in his wake.
Today I am just done in & coping less well.
    Sorry for the rant!

I think there are two difficult phases in a child's life - the first between the ages of about 16 months and 4 years, the second between the ages of 11 and 18. If only we could lock them in a deep freeze and let them out when the phase is over! (My DS is in phase 2 at present and I have to keep reminding myself that he is a lovely chap really, he just slips into git mode sometimes).
One life - your life - live it!
