Hey
Well the damp is disappearing with the help of a dehumidifier and a wallpaper stripper!!! The factor sent a builder who said that it could be a number of things (all of which would cost a small fortune) but the factor has decided its not any of these things and that all we need is a vent fitted to the outside wall. This has been done at the cost of £140 but that will be split 4 ways and added to the next quarterly factors bill... prob due January! Give us a bit of time to save for it.
Phoned the insurance who have said its not covered as there is no ingress of water  its not all bad.... the floorboards are fine just a bit of water damage marking but not rotten so thats good. My dad says the carpet will dry out but im not taking the chance with the underlay at the corner and have ripped that bit out. We have started to strip the bedroom walls but as the paper and wall were a bit mouldy some of the plaster has been coming off
We will need to get the plaster fixed... we are going to try and do it ourselves, then we need to get lining paper (i've removed it all cause i didn't want any trace of damp i also want to wash the walls in a fungicidal wash as it is supposed to remove any traces of damp and mould and then i want to paint the affected bits with damp seal paint to stop it happening again. Now all of this is going to cost us money and its not going to happen any time soon so we will do it a bit at a time. I spoke to OH tonight and we have decided that we are going to concentrate on getting the living room sorted for xmas and leave the bedroom (which needs all the work) till the new year.
Its not going to be easy to get the living room liveable but it has to be done!

OMG i actually managed to pay off over £500 this month!!! Am so happy with that all i really need to do now is to get the debt under 25k for the start of 2012.... only 64.28 to go!!! I know December is going to be a tight month but i am going to do my darndest to make sure i am under 25k for the start of the year... i have to.

Hey
Hope everyone had a merry christmas
Things here arent going too well on the money front... well to be entirely honest they never seem to be going well at all!!!
I have overspent this month and am going to struggle to pay everything... a few of my minimum payments aren't due to be paid until January and if im honest i think i may leave them and pay them next year rather than struggle to pay everything the minute it comes in.
At the moment with the way things are going my debt stands at £25229.85 which is more than it was at the start of this month and to begin with i was feeling really positive about starting the new year at under £25k but it doesn't look like it's going to happen any time soon
We did get some money for christmas but its not to be spent on debt repayment we need to spend it on stuff for the house there is so much work that needs done its going to be a struggle to sort out the mess its in never mind trying to pay for it!!
Sorry for being so depressing its just the way im feeling at the moment.... am hoping it passes soon.
Will update either before the new year or just after it. Hope everyone has a good one

ETA: Just re-reading my previous posts and realised that i have included the dress money owed in my debt even though i have said that i wouldnt do that.... sometimes im so stupid!!! So outstanding debt minus dress money is £25029.85 and dress money outstanding is £200 If i can clear the £29.85 then it will be under £25kDEBT OUTSTANDING 23.04.17 £16802.970 -
Hi Buddiebabe - so it looks like you may be able to clear that amount and be under the £25K - that would be a great boost to start off the year. I hate this time now between now and New Year - I always want to clear my decorations away and just can't wait for 1st January so that I can start off the New Year - hopefully on a positive note.
Have a fantastic New Year's Eve.

Hi Buddiebabe, I hope you had a happy christmas. So your debt is still high, but the work on your house will give you a more comfortable home and once it's all done, you can put a bit more towards the debt. I hope you and your new husband have a happy new year and all the best for 2012.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620

Well i checked my previous diary and i started this year with a debt of £26667.80 so this year i have paid off a grand total of £1781.48 which is not the best amount but here's hoping that this coming year will be a better one.
I still owe £180.00 to the wedding account for the dress cleaning - i have managed to pay £20 back to this but am still not going to class this as a debt.
Mrs P and Seaxwyn thank you both for your kind wishes and thoughts this year you have both been a great help and inspiration this year and i hope that you have had good christmas's and happy new year when it comes.
To anyone else lurking hope you have a good new year am hoping to do much better this coming year and try and post a bit more

The numbers aren't great but they are not too bad either. Last month i have not paid the minimum payments on my Debenhams, Santander or RBS M/C 2 cards so these still have to be paid but i have until the 16th of February to get that done.
Am finding the whole thing a bit overwhelming at the moment so haven't been paying much attention to money at all. I am going to need to get back on track and soon... just need to work out some kind of plan
Will try and post again once i've sorted a few things out

Hey
Just a quick update before i start work in 20 mins!!! Really need to get a move on am still lying here in my bed
Im still struggling to get to grips with money and what i have left. I've been spending money like i have hundreds. Im doing a christmas savings club again this year and instead of just me and my mum doing it there are about 12 of us and its causing me nothing but problems with me getting all their payments every week. Im really struggling to keep up with it... keep putting the money in safe places then forget where i put it and haven't paid it and when i go to pay it i can never find it!
I have sorted all that out between last night and this morning and am going to give the money to my mum today to pay in the bank 2moro and i have a folder all set up now to keep the payments in. I think i must have spent £20 of it as the totals just don't add up so i have paid that back this morning which is going to leave me short but is my own stupid fault for not doing it right in the first place!
I will update again once iv sorted out the savings im supposed to be putting away.... my OH has set up a standing order for part of the weekly money he gives me so it goes straight into my bank.... we thought this would be a good idea.... but again i keep thinking its mine and spend it so need to figure out that when i get home 2night.... here's hoping its a nice quick day at work
Update tonight.... with any luck
