Hey
Well another day i have off and another day im up early!! Why is it when you can sleep in you don't!
On Friday picked up the car and then went to morrisons and did a shop for the week which came in at just 0.80 over the £30 that we had to spend, but there was still some left in the shopping purse from the week before so the only money i spent on Friday was the MOT for the car and then breakfast for me and OH. Oh my OH was going to visit his mum so i gave him £20 to fill up the car on route so the car should have enough petrol now to get me to work until i get paid on Friday.
I was working from 12 - 6 yesterday so i didn't go into town until i was due to start and i took my water and crisps with me for my tea break so i didn't have to buy anything. I didn't buy any of the bargains that they were trying to make me cause i just didn't need them... i have enough shampoo and showergel to probably last me all year if not next year tooI went to Tesco to get some garlic bread and cream cakes for after dinner and spent £1.93 out of the shopping budget. We still have £7.32 to last us until Thursday when we will add another £30 to it.
So this months grocery budget is £160.00 (as there are 5 Thursdays this month and we had £10 left over from last month). Am hoping that we can manage on that we should be able to. Im going to try and stop the frequent trips i make at lunch time to the asda accross from work and im going to stop using my own money for top up shops as im always buying things and don't take it out the grocery budget. I'll update my signature with what we have spent so far to try and keep a better track of things this month. That reminds me it also owes me £1.70 for the roast potatoes i bought on Thursday... this is what i mean! I use all my money to get shopping and then wonder why i have nothing left (this time it was on my debit card, hence the reason i haven't missed it!)
So the grocery challenge budget for this month is £160 and so far we have spent £34.43 and we have £125.57 left.
I have £51.20 in my purse
Am going to check my bank accounts and see what the position is there then will come back and post current situation and see if i can start to make any payments for today

Well my Tesco credit card statement has been produced and the minimum payment is £45 which is how much i had put aside for it. The outstanding balance after the interest was added was £2125.16 so i have paid £45.00 minimum payment and an additional 16p to it today.
I have also managed to find 56p lying about so have put that aside to pay towards my RBS M/C 2 and i have also taken £1 out my purse and that is going towards the wedding fund.
Total PAD £1.72 (am not including minimum payments in this figure as they have to be paid) it will only be the extra's.
I honestly don't think i will be able to make a payment every day but i will try to but im not going to leave myself short.
I have listed a few things on ebay last night as it is a free listing weekend and i have put on another few this morning. So far i have 156 items listed (the majority of these i have had listed for ages so just re-list them when its free to do so!).
Aims for today:
- List contents of box that has been photographed to list
- Put washing on
- Sort out my side of the bed
- Find HSA claim form and submit claim for contact lenses
- Fill out try me free pizza claim form and post
- Go for a walk
- Sort out stuff for swimming
- Sort out stuff for Zumba
- Get work clothes ready for 2moro
- Decide on meal plan for week
Well thats enough to keep me going for a while... will try and update later with what i have actually managed to get done!

Well not getting very far yet! I have managed to list everything that was in the box so am happy with that, part of me wants to keep listing on ebay but i know i really need to get the other stuff done too.
Am going to go try and do some of it now!
On the plus side one of the items i listed today is currently selling for a grand total of 75p :T its always something else out the house!

75p is not to be sniffed at! Let's hope the total goes up a bit though. Well done listing all that stuff, I was away this weekend so I couldn't take advantage of the free listing day.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620

Hi Buddiebabe - well done on posting your SOA - I am terrified to do that cos I am so ashamed. I feel for you with the petrol costs - I live in a remote area and petrol is one of my highest expenditures (but its the price I pay for living somewhere nice)
this is only a suggestion and I understand what you say about it being your debt. When DH and I got together we opened a joint account and all our money goes straight into that. Our SOA comprises both our monies and it doesn't matter who earns more than the other - in our almost 20 years together there have been times when I earn more and times when he earns more, but at the end of the day we are a partnership and do everything (moneywise) together. I am just wondering whether your OH would be willing to do this so you could begin to get it all sorted? Just thinking that as you are embarking on your lives together whether or not that would work? Its a really difficult one and DH and I didn't have any debt when we got together and I am not sure I would have agreed to everything going into one pot if he had, but maybe its something you could think about? Does your OH know how tight things are for you?
Buddibabe - I don't mean to preach and you don't need to answer my questions - its all meant in a constructive way. I think you have done so much to come so far and I am so pleased that you have begun your new diary and are keeping positive.
Take care xxxxDebt free and Keeping on Track0 -
Hey
Seaxwyn - your right every penny counts and that item is now up at... wait for it.... a grand total of 85p :rotfl:
MrsP i see you've managed to find the new diary! In answer to your questions i see where you are coming from but i couldn't ask him to do that. If it was the other way around i don't think i would do it either! He knows how tight things are but sometimes im not sure he actually realises the extent of it... we always have food and we still have the flat and the car so as long as i just keep going we should still have those things.
Im trying hard to not use my debit cards but i had to use my credit card the other day to get a new swim suit and some bits and pieces but i havent had the chance to work things out yet and see what i have spent this week. Im struggling to find the time to do things like eat and sleep so everything else is taking a back seat.
Im working 10 - 6 today so will try and sort out my money stuff tonight and then post an update of where i am with everything. Hope you are both well

If he doesn't know the extent of the problem, then he can't help you with it, even if the help is just emotional support. So make sure he does know what is going. It will be important to do this going into married life anyway chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

Hiya - I used to read your old thread and v glad I found your new one!
Just a quick question...and of course tell me to bog off and mind my own business but...with your outgoings being so much more than your income have you considered a DMP? That way you would be able to pay them off slowly and surely and not have to keep struggling and juggling each month? I'm on one now (after having spent years robbing peter to pay paul) and it's been such a huge help.
I do know that they don't work for everyone and perhaps you've already considered it and decided against it, but just a thought?
Anyway, the most important thing is how amazingly honest you're being with yourself and trying your hardest to keep on top of it all. You're an inspiration!!!

OH £200.00 now £170.00
WEDDING FUND £439.42 now £500.00
TOTAL DEBT OUTSTANDING £28582.33 now £27090.54
Total paid off in June £1491.79 :j
Total paid off since 01.06.11 £1491.79
So i have managed to pay off a very large amount in June, however, i have also managed to leave myself very short for July.
I still have £100 to pay towards the minimum payment of my RBS M/C 2 before the 17th July. Im not getting as many hours in the shop anymore which means my 2nd job wages are reduced so i don't have as much coming in.
The wedding is fast approaching and i have no idea how im going to get the money paid back in time for the wedding but i need to find it from somewhere.
I had a letter from my RBS M/C 1 saying they were going to put the interest up to 21.4% from 20% or i could cancel my account. I have closed the account and am now just going to pay it back which is good as this debt will reduce and i wont have the option to borrow it back, however, this is the account i had been using to keep things ticking over and now i don't have that option i know im going to struggle.DEBT OUTSTANDING 23.04.17 £16802.970 -
This month i have decided that i am only going to pay the minimum monthly payments and no more as i am unsure that im even going to be able to find the money for that. I have a few things listed on ebay but nothing much that would sell so i am going to struggle this month.
I've loads of stuff to do for the wedding but am getting nowhere fast with it either which isn't good. Its just going to be money money money and i just don't have all that we need so some things will need to be cut back on or just done without.
Im going to need to try and not spend any money this month and cut back on everything.
