then why does your profile give your location as Spain? And NO, I do not accept the Fiat have a higher rate than other brands at being dud's. Believe or not, (and i'm sure you won't but no matter) I have just been having a converstaion related to this over a beer with a good mate of mine who is a mechanic at one of the biggest independant garages in my area. He states that they see more VOLVO's than any other brand just lately closely followed by Pug/Citreon. As far as Fiat is concerned, no more than Ford, VX, VW or any other leading brand. My mate by the way is ex Rolls Royce so I reckon he knows what he is talking about.
After having over 30 Fiats in my possession over the last 30 years with no major issues suggests that it isn't down to luck.PLEASE NOTEMy advice should be used as guidance only. You should always obtain face to face professional advice before taking any action.0 -

Ok here you go:

Is it just me or are other people having issues with build quality of the interior of a punto evo as well? (Reply from the Admin...)
Yes, there are a number of build-related problems
(Taken from Auto express)
96th place for build quality is also a letdown, so the firm needs to boost standards.
(Taken from UK Car)
Buzzy engines, poor Italian build quality, handles like a bus into the slightest corners, interiors dull and with as much noise refinement as Concorde - welcome to the world of the Fiat
(Taken from Fiats own uk website on the forum section)
Poor quality cars - admittedly the new punto looks nice but the rest look awful and are all bound to suffer from the same old poor quality that has dogged Fiat since it's conception.Don't bother phoning customer service for any goodwill - or in the vein hope that they have issued a recall for the problem or problems you are plagued by on your Fiat - they will just dash your hopes as the have no idea about 'CUSTOMER RETENTION'.
Cut your losses - get it fixed or sell it on, and avoid FIAT cars in the future as they will undoubetly go wrong, and involve you giving Fiat a lot more money to put right their mistakes.
Pay a bit more for your car from a quality reputable car manufacturer - it will save you in the long run
(Taken from topgear)
Want you car to start in the morning? Buy Japanese. Otherwise - you guessed it - choose French
The list goes on, Obviously I cant transfer you my memories of how bad these cars are so whilst we talk online these are the only sources I can provide,
Maybe this will help you understand that fiats are turkeys.

Strange isn't it that Top Gear voted the Multipla as being the best MPV for 2 years running a few years ago! And more recently on their Christmas Special when they drove a Mazda MX5, BMW Z series and a Fiat Barchetta across a desert into Jordan.... now just remind me, which one came out on top? Err... wasn't the Barchetta... was it?

Ok then Tilt your obviously the mechanic here or just a bitter fiat driver that wont accept his cars a joke, I knew when I gave my advice that there would be some sour Fiat owners but thats all part of the job :-D

I love all the "I'm a mechanic" so I know best comments that get put up on here.
I'd rather go with the rest of the owners that never had to see a mechanic.0 -

Too right I won't because none of the 30 i've had have been 'jokes'. In fact my current one at 11 years old, 60k on the clock (with a Barchetta engine) will still run rings around most of it's rivals.Tigerspain wrote: »I knew when I gave my advice that there would be some sour Fiat owners but thats all part of the job :-D
Thats because thre are obviously more satisfied owners that you seem to think who take acception at people slagging their RELIABLE, WELL MADE pride and joys off who have no idea on what they are talking aboutTigerspain wrote: »End of conversation.

30 Fiats in 30 years thats a fast turnaround for such 'amazing' cars, They must have been so good you got rid of each one after only a year!!, That really is my final word on the subject you are a fool that thinks your right when you have no other reason to prove their good other than you liked them!!
