I went to look at a new Fiat 500 yesterday. Really liked it. Dealer I was at had one already that arrived last week unregistered that would be fine for me, was not looking for extras on it. They came down a couple of hundred when I said I may want it on finance with them.
I came home and started to ring around to see what other better prices I could get, I could not get the 2 other garages to budge on the RRP that I called.
I just wondered if anyone has got a good deal recently on a 500 are there deals out there to get on them?
Many thanks

Just checked these guys out and they don't offer any deals which could mean they are still gettinf close to RRP.
But have a look at this:-

Panda Active Eco for £5,795.
Remember other manufacturers are struggling to supply at the moment. Was chatting to a friend this week who commented that they couldn't sell Lexus' a few months ago and now they can't get any.0 -
The problem with the 500 is that they do not need to discount at the moment because they are selling in sufficient numbers.PLEASE NOTEMy advice should be used as guidance only. You should always obtain face to face professional advice before taking any action.0

Glyn Hopkin in Essex have some pre reg Fiat 500 but as others have said dealers only ever discount cars that they struggle to meet sales targets on.
The only car they are struggling a little on are some 1.2 petrolsthat they have had in stock when they brought out the twinair.
This is almost certainly only a feature of dealers based near London. You must consider that the only real reason is the free CC that the twinair attracts, as there is nothing wrong with the 1.20 -
The East Anglia Fiat franchisees Desira are advertising 500 1.2 Pop models for £9195:

I did have a browse at a couple of 10 reg 500 1.2s this morning at their Norwich dealership and they had a couple on for £7995.
I think the Panda is a better buy overall. The one in Hintza's post seems like a right bargain.Generation Rent0 -
Have heard there is a new Panda coming out in the next six months so i reckon there will be dealsavailable on that soon.
But residuals on the 500 are good.0 -
You could try manheim auctions, They deal with new cars, Or the alternative is to get one maybe a year old, That way someone else has taken part of the inevitable depreciation and it will still be under warranty And will be much cheaper!!!, Also finally as a mechanic I would advise against Fiat, French or KA'S as the build quality is poor and the mechanical quality is poor so unless you intend to get rid of it just 2-3 years down the line then I would advise against it especially if your buying the car on looks alone!, In my advise (Which of course you can leave) you would be far wiser to go for a smaller Japanese car or even German, They are usually more expensive but for very good reason, A 2 year old german/Jap would cost you the same as a 1 year old french/fiat/ka but will outlive them ten fold, I guess it really depends on if you have money to waste and how long you want to keep the car, Whatever you decide good luck and I hope it works out :-DI dont have to show riches, To pull up, Pull of with some bad b*tches, It's about my persona, Aint nothing like a man that can do what he wanna0

What a load of old cobblers! I've owned (personally) over 10 Fiats since 1978 ranging from a 127 to my present one; Punto mk2 HGT which I have owned from new in 2000. Its just done 60k miles and the only main expence is a cam belt change. It runs like a dream and loves motorways as the temp gauge is lower than round town driving. In between i've had a Strada, 2 131's (one being a Supermirafiori), X/19, Uno SL, Uno Sx, Regata (Admitably that had some minor issues), Uno Turbo (Rocket Ship!), Croma, Punto Cabrio, Bravo HGT and a Coupe 16V. I also ran a small car business which had a nummber of Uno's and Tipo's but ok, they were all under 6 months old.
I can honestly say that with the exception of the Regata, mechanically I find that Fiats are exeptionally relaibale and any mechanic worth thier salt will agree that their engines are well built, especially when it comes to performance. i don't think that with my above list, you could say that I was lucky.PLEASE NOTEMy advice should be used as guidance only. Well you have either been exeptionally lucky or slightly dishonest with your problem free run, 'any mechanic worth his salt' will advise you to stay away from fiat as they have an expetionally poor record of build quality, Please do ring around other mechanics for their opinions and im sure ou will find the back up what I say, When I used to work in a a garage it would be fiat after fiat after fiat coming in with problems, Especially the punto's they are quite possibly one of the worst there are!!!!
Dont just take my word for it, Ask other independant mechanics Im sure they will back up what Im saying, Iv spent long enough in the trade to know what im saying isnt 'a load of old cobblers' lol!!!!!I dont have to show riches, To pull up, Pull of with some bad b*tches, It's about my persona, Aint nothing like a man that can do what he wanna0
