If your covered and have proof there should have been no charge for recovery and storage. When you produced and all is in order they should have stamped your 165 form 'no charge'.
The police station advised i needed to recover money from insurer as there at fault as my details were not on there. But as pointed out in beging the car was DUAL insured until 25th may causing the issue with mid
What really got my back up is the large a3 sized sticker on back & rear windows saying
" ANOTHER UNINSURED VEHICLE OFF THE ROADS"
guilty until proven inocent

Erm... The DVLA doesn't own our cars. That's nonsense.
One of the main questions for any car insurance quote is 'are you the OWNER and registered keeper of the vehicle'
If the DVLA owned the car, that question would be a tad irrelevant.0 -

I am insured – swinton still insuring me - The bank cancelled wrong direct debit. – but nobody will admit to being at fault
Then the bank is responsible for your loses, so make a formal complaint to your bank also.0 -
A V5 is not proof of ownership only registered keeper the only way to proof ownership is a bill of sale.
A bill of sale is just as if not more important than a V50 -
