we need foxy to find new comps not keep reminding us of old ones, and when does she sleep??
This woman doesn't need any sleep!
I know what you are saying about the end date being essential on the thread title, though. I would also like to thank Foxy for all the hard work she puts in on the Competitions Board. She's a star.

thanks job. i am in the process of putting if you need to register etc on the top of each thread which will take a few days as you can imagine there is sixteen pages of threads to do, its just all part of getting to grips with a new boards and finding out the best system. i do try to put the end date on unless they are continuous and there is a sticky with all the regular comps sites on. wot i would advise peeps tho is setting up a gmail account for all the crap mail to go in seperate as that is wot i do and another one that saves time is roboform;)It is not what you give your friend, but what you are willing to give him that determines the quality of friendship. -- Mary Dixon Thayer0

Either open another email account or if you use Incredimail (not everyone's choice) the emails sent to you can go on the Junk and Unapproved list. The only drawback is you have to check them as about 90% of my wins are notified to me by email and ask for reply with address etc. The other 10% turn up in the post and I have no idea where they are from. A high proportion of emails also notify you of new competitions. It can become a full time job---I know. Well done and thank you to Foxy for the time and effort she is putting in.Guest.0 -

There really are some ungreatful people on this site. Foxy like myself is a board guide. This is a volunteer job! We do it when we get time!
But it seems that no matter what you do its never good enough for some of the users on here!
So instead of complaining why not sent foxy a pm thanking here for all her HARD work on the Competitions board.0 -

Instead of sending you a poilet pm they start a thread for everyone to see and complain about you!
People seem to be quick to complaing about some of the board guides but I bet they won't say thank-you just as quick!
What angers me even more is that the board guides are now being called the 'police'! It seems like we can't do anything right!
If certain users don't like the site rules then tough! Its Martins site and he doesn't have to let anyone use it, but he does, so users should respect his rules/wishes!0 -
Well said the two of you but please remember the ones who appreciate what you do for NOTHING but are known as the quiet majority.Try to ignore the ones who complain.I am sure that a pm to a board guide re a problem/suggestion would be appreciated more than starting a thread.Guest.0

Yup! Your right M.E.2 I can say that I would far rather a pm. I had users starting up threads complaining about me!0

Can I just point out that the original post in this thread is aimed at helping the competition board and Foxy by asking posters to add closing dates etc,a useful idea in my opinion.:D0
