Ebay highest bidder comes from abroad

You can't answer the question as more than likely you wouldn't even bid for the item in those circumstances. Whether I have 'blocked' them is not the answer, it's about decency/right and wrong. I will eventually post the item at the very lowest/slowest/cheapest form of P&P available. Then see if the ignorant **** is as slow with his lack of replying to my message sent 3 days ago. Bored now, you talk alaod of ol waffle and can't answer a simple question as it would contradict what you have been going on about all morning.
Why should he need to reply? He has bought and paid for it. You didn't exclude his country. It is now up to you to post it or get a INR filed against you, negative feedback and your DNR trashed and at just 91 sales, five 1 star ratings are going to hurt.it's about decency/right and wrong
Yeah, strange how that seems to come into it when someone has made a cockup that costs them money.
OTOH you're a bit of a hypocrite playing that card because is it decent, right and fair that someone has paid for something and the seller wants to welch out of the deal because they made a mistake that will cost them a quid or two?0 -
Would you bid for something from ebay where it states 'AFRICA ONLY', Hammy?0

I just love the way everyone on here sees the buyer as doing no wrong. Whether there are silly blocks in place to stop me bidding for something or not, I would at least ask the buyer if it was possible to ship to my country, rather than just bid and pay. What is the point of the UK buyers only text? At the end of the day I wouldn't do it and don't expect it done to me, the bloke is a wrongun. I will post it as I said, the cheapest, slowest way possible. Would love him to have a whinge over the p&p when he receives it, that would take some front!0

If this buyer is ignoring your messages, they clearly know what they are doing, i.e. getting a cheaper postage rate. If you did not sell to them, they will give you poor feedback etc. It would cost you a bit more to post to the EEC.
As you seem to have made your mind up, you will have to bear the negative. Ebay won't remove it.
Take the advice re quoting postage, or blocking overseas bids, and move on. A ten quid sale is not worth getting worked up about.
There is no cheap way to post to Holland. It's small packet and will get there in 3-5 days.0 -

Some will bid others won't. That doesn't mean anything. Some won't bid as they think whatever a seller says is Gospel, others may think that if a seller is so dim as to put silly notes on their listings, then they aren't worth bothering with.
It doesn't change the fact, you listed an item for sale to Holland with £1.80 postage. A buyer from Holland has paid what you asked. You have formed a contract. Now you are moaning about the terms. You set the terms.
It is always the same on these threads, where the OP is in the wrong and will keep ignoring the information they have been given. Bury your head in the sand if you like, ask whatever questions you like, but if you don't listen to the facts, you make yourself look very silly and ignorant. As you have.0 -

Macfly at least you have something about you to realize that the buyer 'knows what he is doing', ie, doing wrong. Thanks, I am glad someone has some scruples on here0

Ironman, when selling on ebay, you need to follow ebay rules, and if you don't want international bidders, then you need to use the set options to block them.
As everyone else has told you:
Writing "UK ONLY" on the auction is not sufficient.
Rather than turning this into a b*tch fight and trying to get someone to agree that you were right and ebay/the buyer/everyone on MSE/the world is wrong, have you actually followed any of the useful advice yet?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
As a matter of interest, does using the drop box "no international postage" block foreign bidders? I don't use auction style, so my mobiles always have this option ticked and I have no bother.0

To ensure your item is not available to international bidders (or just selective countries) then you need to update your seller prefernces.
My Ebay > site preferences > show all > buyer requirements > edit > buyers in locations to which I don't ship ...... tick where applicable. It isn't enough to just have 'no international postage'.0
