Another reply from the seller stating how she's a single mother on benefits and doesn't have the means to give me a refund. She said she doesn't see how she can be of anymore help so she looks forward to telling the police the same. Grrrrrrrrrr0

Why would she give you a refund IF it was an ex's computer she appears to be contradicting herself
tell he you will see her in small claims court see what she says to that0 -
I just emailed her back saying that regardless of whether the laptop was hers or her ex partners, the money was paid into her paypal account and subsequently her bank account so she is the one I will be seeking to claim the money back from in court.
Could really do without all this

Good for you - the thing is with people who lie they can never manage to keep to the same story.
Keep putting the pressure on her to refund you then hand the laptop into the police0 -
Just on the phone to eBay now to see if they can help.
EDIT: Well that was helpful...not. eBay gave me a phone number to give to the police and said that they will assist the police and will only offer to assist with a refund should the investigation prove the seller stole the laptop.0 -

Sorry to say but its going to be hard to prove the seller stole it only that she sold a stolen laptop
I would still keep pushing for a refund direct from her0 -
Do you think it'd help to try filing an 'unauthorised transaction' claim in paypal or has it been too long?0
-
Have you asked ebay for her telephone number so you can ring the seller and talk to her - that in conjunction with emailing on a regular basis - she needs to know this will not go away until she deals with it.
Also in case she asks she can refund vis paypal from the original transaction even if there is no money in there her balance then becomes negative until she pays some in but thats not your problem0 -
I have got her phone number, yes, and a mobile number. I just don't want to phone and make a scene because the way I'm feeling, I'm not sure how calm I would be able to remain. As far as I know, if you haven't got the funds in PayPal, they won't let you refund anything (unless ebay take the money that is).0
