Oh but you did, or don't you remember your wedding vows?!
Why is it people seem to think that they can get married but still live like single people? Perhaps if the OP had been more generous with his income and shared it with his wife unconditionally, she would not have resorted to taking out credit cards behind his back and he would have been aware of her overspending a long time before it became a problem...
That's stupid!
His Wife was spending money they didn't have. How is not giving her money they didn't have HIS fault?
Re the section in blue above. Counter point is:-
Why is it some women latch onto a man in marriage, and think they can spend money like water, even though he doesn't have it.0 -
Tesco offer you loads of things that you cannot afford, is that wrong too ?oldtractor wrote: »Devil's-AdvocateI do refuse the cards and loans. My point is that I feel it is wrong that they can offer me the things in the first place.0 -

Here is another generalisation.
Women are incapable of recognising irony.0 -
Having finished reading the posts now, my conclusion is, that the OP was asking how can his Wife run up these debts without any input from him, and can it keep happening.
Despite ALL the arguments on here, doesn't the Wife have resposibility for managing their finances too?
When it comes to money, I can't trust my Wife any further than I can throw her. I could divorce her of course, but then the Women would be up in arms about that attitude too.
To all you superb women who DO manage the family budgets well.....then all the incompetant men should thank you. To all you useless men who create debts, hang your heads in shame, and find a women to compensate for you.
Marriage is a partnership, and both sides should play their part. She / He who runs up debts the partner is not party to, is in the wrong! End of!0 -

I didn't realise hookers would accept a credit card - hand tip D-A, thanks. :shocked:Optimists see a glass half full
Pessimists see a glass half empty
