Fantastic!
I cannot believe some people. Just because we are on this forum does not mean we are all poor, just savvy enough not to spend money when its not needed.
If its any consolation I probably would have tripped up, dropped the bottle AND walked into a wall.0 -

Arrogance-the ability to think your better than everyone else when your not......the view must be pretty lonely from the top of the pedestal she put herself on...

Well done Ellay! You are so right to say about the insecurities. some people are just like that. They can't really be happy if they have to go round trying to put other people down. You didn't let her though, nice one!:beer:0

I do love how some people assume MSE forum is for chavvy teenage brides! I joined as it seems to be the only none judgemental wedding forum and ppl actually tell you the truth about your ideas rather than boasting about the £3000 photographer they have who also photographed such and such from Hollyoaks... Ha ha

Quite disagree, actually...I find this place to be quite judgemental a lot of the time...there's a lot of "inverse snobbery" goes on - where people think you're stupid or judge you if you actually want/need to spend a lot of money on your wedding.
It's really important to both myself and the OH to get married on a Saturday in the Summer (she teaches - and I want a long honeymoon...and we both felt bad asking people to use holiday to come) - this alone probably triples the amount we have to spend on the thing...and we wanted a marquee reception, which seems to add to the cost still further.
Our wedding's going to be nice, but in no way lavish - and I certainly don't go around bragging about the amount of money we're spending. Still, however, I find a lot of people on here with a "well if you need to spend that much, you obviously don't love each other as much as my wonderful fianc!e and I do" attitude - which I think is kinda sick.
Don't know why people can't just take joy in other people's special days tbh...It's not a competition.
(edited to add: OK, we're going to the states for a month on Honeymoon - that's certainly lavish by our standards
- but the wedding itself won't be lavish

I love the dropping the water bottle bit! I've tried "superior last words" only to try and push a door when it should be pulled
In reality you'll probably find her on here looking for some cool ideas for stuff she hasn't sorted yet  welcome if you do pop by!:kisses2: Got married September 2011:smileyhea
