Have you set the diary up on here??

Don't go without popping by without a quick update. xxxx

Thank you - yes I have set up a diary as I was fed up of seeing the sad face every time I posted link as follows: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/44753196#Comment_44753196

Don't worry you won't get rid of me that easily, I still have a long way to go on becoming debt free so will be around for a long time to come.

I got my offer letter today and they want me to start onTuesday! I knew they wanted someone to start soon but didn't think it was going to be that quick.

    Congratulations!

I know you thought I was being mean when I stated the obvious that you needed to get a job but now that you have one the only way is up and you will be back in the black in no time. Just think that everything you earn is a bonus that can be thrown at the debt.

    Well done!

Thank you, I realise now that you weren't being mean, it was just that you were very honest and I probably took it the wrong way at the time, it had been a rollercoaster of emotions that day and I knew I had to get a job, but didn't feel confident enough to get one.

I know that now I have a job and we cut back so that we could live on one wage means that we should be able to get rid of these debts quickly. Although I may re-introduce some treat money as we used to have some money in our sole accounts each month that we could spend on what ever we liked but had to stop that so I'm looking forward that. I'll call it my guilt free spending money.

    Well done on the job.

The discount card and restaurant/coffee shop will be very useful.

One of the downsides of lower paid work is lunch can eat-up a higher proportion of your income.

Preparing packed lunches every day can be a pain, so cheap food at work is a good option to have.
