Well done Sparkerly, car boots and ebay are a great way of bringing a little extra in.
I haven't sold a thing today or yesterday on Ebay, I keep thinking my shop must have vanished into cyber space.
On a good note, I've got a job. it's working in a supermarkets bureau de change and I start in about 3 weeks.
It's about time I got some good news. xx0 -

Just a quick update as I find that posting here helps keep me on track, and after what feels like a really long week I really need to stay focussed.
So this week I have had another job rejection, but as that was for a cleaning job I'm not that bothered - I would have done it had I got it, but in all honesty I hate doing my own housework let alone anyone elses. But I am that commited to getting rid of the debts that I would have done it, that proves to me the long way I have come as a few weeks ago I would not have even considered it. So onwards and upwards with the job search - I have applied for a few others and check websites everyday, so eventually I will get something.
I have been planning on registering with an agency but my anxiety keeps kicking in, so I will need to try and get this under control so that I can increase my chances of work. I have to be careful with my anxiety as I also have depression which at the moment is fine and I am reducing my medication, but when my anxiety gets worse it kicks off the depression and I missed enough time at work in the last 3 years that I can't risk it getting bad again as I would have no chance of getting a job. Didn't really mean to bring this up, but I guess it does explain a few things. The good thing is that my anxiety and depression has got a lot better since I faced up to things and made some changes.
Last night was hard, me and OH thought about going to the pub for a drink (would have been a bottle of wine) and decided we would go - we had money left over from the WSC so why not - then my guilt kicked in and after discussing it further we decided not to go :j This was a major breakthrough for us as we wouldn't have given it a second thought in the past.
OH gets paid a week on monday and that will be when we really see how we have done this month. With all the changes it was going well, but OH has a work bill to pay and although he will get the money back, it will take a bit of time, I also forgot about two bills we needed to pay £650:eek: and we have had a reminder from DS school about the outstanding balance on his activities week costs so more money to go out. So the OD will be at around the same as last month as they will both be maxed out, but on a positive note we have not touched the CC's this month and hopefully we shoudln't need to either. So although the debt won't have gone down much, had we not had the bills to pay we would have made big inroads into them. That is the positive thing we have to focus on. There are no further bills we need to pay, so next month should be so much better.
Sorry for the ramble - I start off with just a couple of things to say and then everything just comes flooding out - but I always feel better for it, so if you've made it this far, thanks for reading.

Well done on not going to the pub! We rarely go ourselves as the prices are astronomical. Can you treat yourself to a cheap bottle of wine? If you want the social interaction then invite friends round and ask them to bring a bottle. I think the prices pubs charge are unbelievable!
It's horrid when you find those extra bills and you begin to think 'why am I bothering?' But from your decision not to go to the pub you are obviously now a fully fledged MSE. Congratulations!
I am sure you will find a job. You are now 'in control' so your anxiety fears will fade. Just remember what huge steps you have already made. You (and your family) should feel really proud.

The CC debt may not have gone down but it hasn't gone up.

Thanks guys
It's so easy to focus on the negative, but it is the positives that count and writing down how things are going on here really helps.
We often enjoy a glass of cheap wine at home, but with two teeangers its nice to get out the house for a glass or two, but you are right - the costs in pubs are horrendous. Never used to be an issue, the going out was more important. With the weather so nice and a park across the road from us I guess we are going to have to get used to taking a walk in the park instead of going to the pub. Much healthier - a definate upside to being DFW.June £25 a day 850.94/750
