Ooh, thats not long, I didn't realise it was that close. How exciting!
2023: the year I get to buy a car
  • Hi KC - yes, not long now at all. So much to learn...

Managed to make just over £50 from selling my old drum machine on ebay, but will let DF keep that as she's the ebay expert in our house. So no change to the £10/day total, so I'll need to do some creative thinking.

I will dig out my loan agreement for sofa today to see what I need to do to pay it off early.

Busy day ahead today, but just can't get into gear - some coffee might help :)

I'm just brewing my rocket fuel.... still limping along on tea at the moment.

  • Hope the rocket fuel worked for you KC - no joy here, was really dozy all day yesterday... Must have been that bottle of red I drank on Sunday evening (20% reduced at Waitrose though, and I'm not drinking in the week ;) ).

However, this morning I'm all fired up and ready to roll! Counted out £10 from moneybox last night, so an extra tenner for my challenge - surprised to see that much accumulate in there already - everything less than a 50p goes into the moneybox at the end of every day, and it does really add up. And the good thing about an A+L current account is that they have to accept your change bags at the post office and the money goes directly into your account.

Still thinking of ways to clear this last remaining debt. Funnily enough, as I've been paid today I do actually have enough cash in my account to pay it all off, which is a bit scary! However, that balance contains some cash my dad's given us for buying baby stuff (thanks dad!) so I'd better not blow it all. I don't think he'd be too happy if we sent him a photo of a sofa.

Had a look through the ottoman and found a load of DVD's/PS1/PS2/PSP games that could all be sold off, so I need to work out how to list on Amazon. Also found my really old laptops and a PS1 - not sure what to do with those? Seems a waste to throw them out, but I think they're too old or knackered to sell (Pentium II with a broken screen). Any clues?

The baby stuff is starting to accumulate nicely now and the study/nursery is starting to fill. We need to get on with converting it properly, but that shouldn't take too long (always the optimist!).

Have a good day everyone and don't let those debts get you down - they can be beaten!

Glad the baby stuff is building up. Broken stuff, you know, as long as you tell people three times its broken, can be sold on Amazon - hypno did it with a waterlogged phone, somebody asked her about it a couple of days ago, thats why I remember.

Hope you achieve lots and lots with all that energy!

  • Hi KC - I've now thought of a couple of projects for the old laptops, so it's really the old PS1 that's not got a home to go to yet. I've checked on ebay and they're currently not selling.

However, I have heard a rumour (on the internet of course :) ) that some PS1s are actually hi-fi quality CD players and worth £'s. Hmmm, not sure if I believe that one...

Lots of things going on today - so better get going! Have a good day all.

Hi GTD - I think your dad would be more than happy with a photo of the sofa
